Why does it take so long for anything to happen to the game??

Why did it take a year to fix Last Word doing 111 precision dmg when ADSing instead of hipfire only? Why did it take a year to skip cut scenes? Why has there never been PvE buff to supers that severely lack in the PvE department? Seriously, you can complain about the RNG or the lack of story in-game or exploration, but for me the thing that irks me more than any of that is the fact that there's been only a few actual game changing patches in the weekly updates. People at Bungie say they play destiny all the time, Luke Smith 2 manned black spindle mission a long time ago with 4 min left. Why do these guys play so much but don't bother to have constant balance updates to eventually come to an ultimate balance, or buff things nobody uses for good reason, buff crap pve supers (my striker super does 2x less than my sniper headshot on a mob, wtf??) WHY does it take so long for anything to happen? Scrolling through the weekly update every week hoping that there will be a hint of anything to change. Subclass rebalance was confirmed, however like the rest it'll probably be little things rather than "hey our statistics we love to show off all of the time shows that nobody uses striker or bladedancer or voidwalker in pve now, maybe we should buff their supers to be in-line with the killing potential of the other supers!" They also probably realized that "wow making all year one gear useless instead of just nerfing the VERY few guns that were OP was a bad idea..too late to go back, we already made them delete all their Year One gear"

  • The game engine they use is complete garbage. It takes them the best part of dat just move one resource node for example. So any kind of code change takes forever so they have protise big fixes over the little ones just so somthing gets fixed at all

  • There was internal discussion on this. I assure you it is being addressed. Bungie are being replaced by the way by High Moon Studios.. There was even talk of tomorrows update being retro active, so if you made in to rank 5 in the last iron banner, you might have some packages waiting come the day. But who knows... Not Bungie, as that seems to be the case Kind regards Richard Clan Cornwall UK

It's because bungie doesn't know how to handle a game this big. This type of game hasn't really been done to this level of popularity before. They are making decisions that they think are good because they say they play the game so they ignore what the community is saying. Sure they listen to little gripes but most of the time they ignore what we say or distract with a vague weekly update. They need to listen to what people are saying who play the the more than they do. And they need to get actual testers and not be afraid of balancing something that they know needs to be fixed. I know it takes time to program and tweek things when it comes to how code works you can potentially break something no matter how long you've been a programmer but damn not a whole year wait. And yes getting rid of year one stuff was a bad idea and not the no elemental burn on primary is bad to me too. With this dwell time they have set for us new games are out and it is good to play them to take a break they shouldn't want that long of a break to where we don't come back because it happens. I say they need to bump all the raids to year two standards and drops to make me want to grind different looking weapons and gear instead of all of us wearing the same thing, get rid of timed exotic daily quests make me want to go out and get that exotic and tell us when it comes out to hunt randomly dropping it or putting it on a time table makes us put down the game and play something else and sometimes that's how they lose players, and add an effect to where kinetic does more damage to no shield enemies or make an option where we can customize our weapon to ad a burn type to it that way we can use our favorite weapons and add that little extra to it. Maybe the gunsmith can help us with that to give him even more usability. TL/DR: bungie is new at this and don't know how to handle the game yet and still are figuring out where they are trying to take it. For their sake I hope it's somewhere good or they want even survive to year 4
