This Meta Is The Worst Yet!
Title says it all. This meta is complete garbage. In order to be successful in PvP activities(IB, Trials, etc.),you have to use one type of weapon: pulse rifles. You also have to use a sniper, in particular, Eirene SR4 and 1000 Yard Stare. Also, you have to use a sunbreaker. This meta is worse than the exotic hand cannon meta in year 1. Bungie, something needs to happen. Weapon rebalancing would be a good idea!

The HC meta was far worse. 2 hit kills with thorn? 1 hit kill with the hawkmoon glitch that stacked all three perks in one round? The insane range even with the last word? Pulses are at a good spot. Leave pulses alone and buff the range on hc's slightly. Scouts are also at a decent spot (tlaloc is insane). Snipers are in a fine spot (minus luck in the chamber and maybe less aim assist). Fusions need to be buffed. And shot guns (minus a a few) are kinda in a weird spot. So naturally snipers kinda shine out of all the other specials.

I believe it is the maps.. Pulse rifles suck in up close gunfights.

No, its not worse than the final round and thorn meta. That was torture. But I suppose this qualifies as a "my opinion is better than your opinion" kind of conversation. Every weapon has had its meta moment. Auto rifles at the beginning, then hand cannons, then pulse rifles, now it's time for the rise of the scout rifle!

Waaaaa waaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaa Sunbreakers.... I still see waaaaaaaaay more Hunters than anything. Shadestep and invis the whole match is way more annoying than dealing with hammers for a minute or two.

1 Replyi disagree. i think pvp is much better now than it's been in a while. I seem to actually get in "shoot-out", strategic quick gunfights more now than before. Snipers are viable now, and they are working exactly as intended. Hanging back on maps, working angles...that is what snipers do. Ya, pulse rifles are the best right now, but SOMETHING has to be the best...and i think pr's being good creates a good dynamic. Only thing i would changes is how many points supers give, they seem to have too big of an effect on the match...but overall i think pvp gameplay is pretty good right now.... ...now the loot / reward / leveling system....wtf

My Tlalalalalaloc says hello. But really, pvp maps are predominantly mid-range, therefore the pulse rifle should be the best option. Generally speaking. Know your gun and adapt your play style. I believe this is the most balanced crucible we've had so far.

Butthurt is butthurt? Handcannon def worse, pulses are supposed to shoot across the map with decent accuracy, a handcannon before could shoot just as far with a faster ttk. Pulses have pretty much been the same throughout, but since everything is consistently nerfed into the ground they seem to be the best option. Don't worry pulses will be nerfed soon, but what they really should do is buff everything else. The nerfs are out of hand.

I agree that there's too much reliance on snipers and shotguns, however I actually play better as my hunter and warlock than my titan. The regen on the super is probably too much but the class as a whole seems poor. If they nerf the super they need to bring back the armamentarian
