Check out trials report
I was just looking at the destiny trials report. https://destinytrialsreport.com.
In the previous weeks we have seen declining number of accounts participating, and also getting flawless. This weekend looks like a disaster, big drop in accounts but 40% drop in accountd making it flawless.
I think that D1 is fading away, players are leaving, and the weapons balancing issues have not helped with the situatiom. Sad.

Trials is turning into streamers vs account recoveries, something akin to a bad getgoodzilla vs monsterredbar movie with casuals unable to meaningfully participate.

It's not sad. It's fine. I hope D2 will bring us what we are all looking for. I hope it's glorious and epic and fukin awesome! And if it's not...we can just come on here and yell at Bungo about it. Again!

1 ReplySo of the 800k to 1M players remaining according to the destinytracker daily participation numbers, 20-25% play Trials and 3-4% make it to the lighthouse. Great job if you make it, and with those odds I can see why carries happen and why there's so much salt against the Trials from the average joe. But come on, stop claiming trials is what keeps Destiny alive. It's pretty obvious from the numbers that it isn't. You play it, you love it, and you don't want to believe that you're in the minority. I get it, I feel the same way about other things. But is it really hard to believe the 3/4 of people who know they have no realistic shot of even going 7 wins don't want to play?

It had about 25000 less people play it this week. I for one didn't even bother playing trials this weekend. No room for casuals anymore.

You know, I always thought the people bitching about going up against streamers were embelishing. And I can honestly say that I've played a lot more streamers than usual, granted no big time people like Gernader Jake and the like, but sweaty bastards nonetheless. This game isn't enjoyable anymore, Primaries need a significant buff accross the board if we're going to treat special ammo like Heavy. This feels lazy on behalf of the devs, who as I will continue to say don't play the game enough outside of patch testing. But whatever, Halo 5 is playing pretty well for me.

This is a significant improvement, a Counterbalanced plummet, with absolutely zero side shake during the plummet. Congratulations Sandbox Team, you finally achieved weapon balance, and only needed a 40% drop in your already pitiful player base to do it. Perfect..

Just getting back into trials and everyone is using NLB in every game.

2 RepliesA few reasons, 1) a bunch of streamers doing carries resulting in players not wanting to do ToO, 2) IB was this week, so people playing that instead, 3) a bunch of people are fed up with Destiny and so people are losing their teams as well as less player base.

1 ReplyThe map this week is just awful with how special ammo works now, sitting around and waiting for special at spawn leaves you open for push and opposing team map control, ice breaker is annoying to use as when you are zoomed in you are scoped up someone's nose or staring at a fleck of dust a mile away, handcanons suffer from serious range issues on this map and using mida just isn't my idea of fun

Bungie did that when they changed the gold tier bounties. They should have left them like they were in yrs 1+2. The sandbox debacle didn't help either
