The 7th book of sorrow and why it’s very important

I made a post a while back about the missing book of sorrow. Now we have gotten it and it’s different very different, the first few books were histories of the hive and the story of its gods but the 7th the book of understanding seems to be almost instructions telling you how to become like the hive gods, to become like yor. That however is nowhere near as important as who it’s connected to, dredgon yor. Why is it important that they are connected what if yor wanted to become a god. Many will call this over the top and crazy and they may be right but hear me out. Why did yor turn from the light I don’t know however I know yor once he took up that mantle had a preoccupation with being “special”. Perhaps you sought to become a god, a god like that of oryx. Thorn and yor himself as stated in the seventh book may have been only a step in a path to annihilation. What if yor sought to become like oryx. Yor like oryx a warrior of near peerless craft who sought to understand his enemy and if it was still out there maybe yor even sought to mantle oryx we may never know. But it is possible as yor like oryx creates his own road map. If this is true what secrets did yor uncover. If I am right he may have even uncovered secrets of the abyss. If he did so he will be back for in his pursuit of the hives power he may have crafted a throne world. Yor May have been greater then we ever realized Also
rezyl/yor is stronger than us
• What if Yor wanted to die and had attained the same immortality as Oryx, Savathun, and the third sibling whose name eludes me? What if it was intentional to learn about death and become stronger?

      • Rezyl Azzir was described as being like a Titan but as yor, he appeared as a hunter. What if malphur never actually killed yor and he's the drifter? I haven't actually seen his ghost to know that it exists. Even if he has one, maybe he acquired a second one like malphur did. It is possible apparently. He has been around a long time and he is a rogue light bearer. He is bulky like a Titan. He seems to have knowledge yor would have been privy to. No one actually witnessed the fight between yor and malphur. It was always strange to me how yor could take out jaren ward but get killed by an inexperienced child. Just didn't seem right.

          •
I.I Flesh and mind are but cages—become unbound, or remain ever unworthy. I.II This flesh—your flesh—is weak, old. I.III Handed down by priors unworthy of evolution. I.IV Had those before been more than common, your flesh would not be this flesh—their flesh—but other, new. I.V New is never given, but claimed. I.VI To claim evolution one must be unmade. I.VII Free of cages—flesh and mind. "Evolution is claimed only through our unmaking." —1st Understanding, 7th Book of Sorrow

I.I The mind is complacent, the flesh has made it so. I.II Possibility limited by stunted imagination, stunted through familiarity. I.III This comfortable life is no life, fleeting, made to decay. I.IV Those born only to live to be replaced cannot see eternity, nor are they welcome here. I.V The unwelcome are the unworthy, the unworthy are a disease. I.VI Cleanse thyself of your decay, then will the mind be free to understand the value of transgression. I.VII It is sin to carve upon the flesh, but by whose law is your prison made hallow? "Mortal flesh is a prison that makes liars of our beautiful caged minds." —2nd Understanding, 7th Book of Sorrow

I.I Before one can be freed, one must question the truth of their purest identity. I.II And so a question is begged: Who resides at the core of your being? I.III Only honest reflection will see you—lone traveler—through the coming storm. I.IV Look, then, clearly upon the whole of your existence, and face your glory—strength of will, every flaw of your mortal heart and fabled soul. I.V Through the pieces of a life lived divine your truth, but do not lie—to the world, if one must, but never to yourself. I.VI To see yourself as anything but what you truly are will lead you down sorrow's road, unprepared for the consequence of your salvation. I.VII Once an understanding is met, and the self is purified in the knowledge of its truth, the cage is set to be unbound. "Know thyself in honest ways, or falter in light of your truest self." —3rd Understanding, 7th Book of Sorrow
Considering these come from simply picking up the quest, I feel it is appropriate to take these excerpts. These first 3 entries clearly chronicle the process by which Rezyl Azir became Dredgen Yor. He was unmade. The book is less about attaining power, and more about becoming your true self. Your final shape.
