Edit: I know writing anything here is a waste of time as bungie doesn't respond to "my account banned" posts but here goes anyway
My pc account was also banned recently, reading the info that bungie has pushed I can only really come to one conclusion as my ISP was having issues in my area. The main network line that feeds my neighborhood was damaged and I was experiencing a large amount of disconnects with error codes, my modem restarting itself to reestablish connection, etc. Having some technical knowledge I fired up NetLimiter 4 to see what packets were being lost not knowing that monitoring my own network traffic and having connection issues were bannable offenses. It is my assumption that the collective of the above issues were what led to me getting the "Not so fast" screen on startup. Being a loyal bungie customer of 8+ years and never having had any issues in their games (bans etc) this came as a shock as there were no warnings leading up to said permanent ban. I'm fairly certain no one from bungie will investigate this and it makes me sad to have lost all that progress (not to me tion money spent on the game, exo 1 and 2, forsaken, and the annual pass as well as silver purchased) I guess I'm just hopeful that someone with some authority on the matter takes their time to see my plea for help.

Edited by Azghul Drake: 4/3/2019 10:52:41 PMTo be very honest with you even when it hurts ( which i understand) Bungie don’t care about this I'm also experiencing the same thing that you are, and in my experience ,every thing you get here are links to the eula and policy followed by Troll posts along with posts that say how great bungie is and that they never ever in eternity make mistake And rarely some who really try to help you And bcs its in the policy and eula they can do what they want ( i just say south park apple episode For a comedic example of this ) You will never got Anny official answer here. It's their policy to ignore ban posts on the help forum bcs their policy states that there is no way to appeal the ban or discuss it the employes cant help you even when they want. i would never ask one to risk theyre jobs for this I think some of these bans are unwarranted. But some are truly rightfull And you don’t have to activily cheat to get banned the existence of something that could eventually in rare circumstances maybe could do something with D2 is probably enough to get you banned. For example, an ambient light software that behave and seems like an aimbot might get you banned, as it probably did in my case. If the employee tasked with assessing these flags doesn't research these processes, they might assume that you are cheating and they will ban you. We can not blame them for that, they only do their work and are only human the lack of comunication is what bothers me on this cases bcs if this would be made the right way it could help improving the Anti-Cheat in the future and will prevent from ´´missinterpretations´´ ( excample above) in the future keeping good players in Destiny so it can be there for a while i wish for it I'm telling you all of this to help you understand your situation. I don't want to be mean. If you believe Bungie has mistakenly banned you, tweet at them and ask them to review their process and the recent account bans politely. We need to bring light to the fact that this isn't just a case of a hacker being caught and then airing their displeasure in a public forum.i done this mistake and i trying to corect this so dont be like me be better. PS: sry for the copy and paste posting but i think i cannot formulate this better without beeing mean ( or banned again ;P ) and i even needed help for this one

10 RepliesEdited by TuxyDoh: 4/2/2019 3:24:30 PMConnection issues would typcially result in restrictions before banning. Netlimiter 4, does not appear to have any features that would land it on the no fly list as other than potentially limiting your bandwidth it has no ability to impact any game so it would not be seen as having the ability to cheat in any game. In your wanting to have the account reviewed, Bungie's anticheat detected something either in your gameplay or on your rig that it felt it violated the game's policies, it then flagged your account for review, Bungie SRT Staff members then reviewed your account, validated the reason for the flag, confirmed it violated policy, then manually placed the ban, so the account has been reviewed. Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific Bungie does not discuss restrictions or bans. Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Bans are lifetime for that account https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929
