Sherpas vs. Paid Boosting and Pinnacle Weapons

Yo! I love D2... love it, but I have a huge problem. Time! I don't have time to grind through D2 just to boost my characters and chase after pinnacle weapons; though, to play endgame content I am forced to grind. Since I don't have the time to grind, I have resorted to using sherpas. Why does the community have such an issue with paid content? I would love to be able to logon, pay to boost my characters, pay to get the pinnacle weapons I need/want, and hop into some endgame content. This seems like a win win for all parties (excluding D2 sherpas). Endgame content would become available to casual as well as hard core gamers, and Bungie would have more resource to create even more content for the players. More players to play with, more content to play, more money... what am I missing here?

But my question is, if you have that kind of money, why wouldn't you spend it on something more rewarding than a broken, wannabe looter shooter?

You’re absolutely playing the wrong game for you. Please find something else to play because this is unacceptable

  • It's NOT ok. Anyone who can't do the content themselves shouldn't be PAYING others to do it for them. If you really need assistance getting the weapons you want, then use LFG. Outside parties shouldn't be profiting off of people who are at a disadvantage in regards to time or capabilities. It's disgusting. Please don't contribute to this. You're only inspiring more people to cheat and gaining an unfair edge. And NO, not all parties are benefiting from this. YOU ARE CHEATING, which harms ANY game no matter what.

  • Honestly if someone enjoys the game and doesn't have the time to spend in order to get to the end game rewards or content then who cares. Bungie could've made a ton of money off of people who liked the game but stopped playing because of the time commitment in order to keep current with the game. warframe did a good job with micro-transactions. You could access it but it wasn't in your face you actually had to go out of your way to get to the store to purchase platinum. If you were the person who had time you could grind out the resources and blueprints or you could buy platinum and buy the frames from another person or the store. Warframe in my opinion is how micro-transactions should be.

      • How would Bungie ever benefit from this? They're not gaining any money from these disgusting third parties. Seriously, you NEED TO STOP ENCOURAGING THIS!

      • Because that equates to a "pay to win" mentality. Remember battlefront 2 or any other game with loot boxes for "pay to win"? It destroys games. Plus it destroys wallets. People have dumped thousands into games due to that for literally nothing but a digital weapon or skin which has no real world application. It feeds addictions, which is why there are people pushing for legislation to ban that kind of thing.

        • I find it hilarious how people are so brainwashed that they're actually begging studios and publishers for more ways to give them money. Just what we need, more Microtransactions.
