So your taking the bad juju catalyst back?
I get being "fair"
But most of the people complaining about the damn thing would have done the exploit if they cought it early enough.
I mean congrats minority of people who did it legit. You get to keep your one second 😂
But don't come running to the forums all high and mighty because you did it legit knowing full well you would have cheesed it also..
I feel this is unnecessary
It's not like this exotic is straight up broken
Just a pool full of salty people because the quest is so tedious.

I was one of those people with a shit ton of materials to spend, I started this season with 10k legendary shards and the lowest I hit was like 5k. So, no I wouldn't have "cheesed" it. The only resource I cringed using was bright dust because the Eververse store items take a lot of that to buy and I barely come out positive, after buying all the new stuff each week, at the end of the week. Although, at that point I had the other 45 tributes, so those 5 that did take bright dust, that I did, were me just being impatient and wanting to finish out what I could with the tribute hall. If I wasn't impatient I could have saved a lot of bright dust by waiting and working to get my discount up, which you all could have been and still be doing, before they implement the patch so as to save a bunch of materials when you do actually have to rebuy the tributes. If you're actually mad about them patching this then you really had no intent of actually doing the tribute hall.

It was definitely needed. It's not too harsh a punishment and shows that can stop from you from glitching rewards, which needed to be shown. Plenty of people who did the cheese because they felt Bungie wouldn't do anything about it.

I could be cheesing the Mountaintop quest right now, but as I refuse to PvP boost out of principle, I'm essentially rubbing my nipples against the sandpaper of that quest. [spoiler]I was in a lobby with someone from this forum last night, if you see this yes that was me, yes I ragequit and yes I was tilted as all hell 😂 Hopefully next time we cross paths I can play against you with a proper loadout instead of praying to the gods above that I can hog heavy and get GL multikills[/spoiler]

If you care enough about the catalyst you’ll take the time to grind it out legit before they lock it away If you don’t then you don’t actually care about the catalyst, it’s that simple

People act like everyone that cheesed felt some kind of divine attachment to their 3 second long string of cursed duration. Spoiler alert the gun still sucks and is outclassed by go figure or blast furnace in literally every regard except the super energy bonus.

I got my tribute placed before I knew about the cheese, it was too early for it to be common knowledge. You are coming to the forums, high and mighty that you cheesed it and demanding that you keep cheesed loot.

Not really tedious. You just have to spend a lot of materials if you are impatient. If you wait until you have max discount it barely costs anything.

If the legit way only took one second, wouldn't it be faster to do it that way? 🤔 The cheese involved switching between characters, with multiple loading screens.

I got it legit. Because i already had 23 statues when i unlocked the hall. Only needed to do 7 gambit and 30 crucible matches+the material statues to get to 50.
