In some MMO games that I have played, you have the ability to post to another player armour, weapons, materials and in-game currency - this would be a nice option; though there is a caveat.
You need to know the email address of the account for the player your sending to (or at least in the games I have played). So, yes this has a potential downfall but I think a work around could be for Bungie to generate an in-game player mail box to do this, i.e. Anc1entGamer.XBL@Destiny.com or MoreConsole1234.PS@Destiny.com
Items to be sent could exclude Exotic items and certain high value materials in order to protect their valued status.
Yes, before you say it - this would be too much work for Bungie to do; but think about Cross-Save and the fact they have talked about cross play.
Your role as a moderator enables you immediately ban this user from messaging (bypassing the report queue) if you select a punishment.
