Hello all,
We are actively investigating an issue where players may have lost some of their Glimmer, Bright Dust, Infusion Materials, and/or other types of game currencies. As part of the investigation, we are bringing Destiny 2 offline to prevent further loss of materials.
We will provide updates here and on [url=https://twitter.com/BungieHelp]@BungieHelp[/url] as we determine the cause of this issue.
[u][b]11 AM Update[/b]: [/u]
We believe we have identified the cause of this issue and are working on a fix internally. Destiny 2 will continue to be offline until we have a better understanding of the timeline for this fix. We will provide another update by 12 PM Pacific.
[u][b]12 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We are testing a fix for this issue internally, including investigating resolutions that would restore missing currencies and materials to players. Destiny 2 will continue to be offline while we test this fix. We will provide another update by 1 PM Pacific.
[u][b]1 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We are continuing to perform tests of possible solutions to restore missing currencies and materials to players. Destiny 2 will remain offline until the issue can be resolved. We will provide another update by 2 PM Pacific.
[u][b]2 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We have validated a fix for this issue and will be rolling back all player accounts to how they were before Update 2.7.1 went live. Destiny 2 will remain offline for several more hours as we deploy this fix. Another update will be provided by 3 PM Pacific.
[u][b]3 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We’re continuing work to fix the issue that caused loss of currencies and materials. All player accounts will be rolled back to the state they were in at around 8:30 AM Pacific.
- Players may have to redo any progress or quests they completed between 8:30 - 10 AM PST.
- Purchases made between 8:30 - 10 AM PST will need to be redone. Silver spent during that time will be restored.
- Destiny 2 Silver purchases from the platform store will be added back to player accounts.
- "The Pidgeon and the Phoenix" Lore being removed is a separate issue and will be resolved in a future update
Another update will be provided around 4 PM Pacific.

We’re continuing to work on player account rollbacks and estimate that Destiny 2 will be brought back online at 7 PM Pacific.

Rollback for player accounts is complete and Destiny 2 servers are back online. Players may experience login issues as services return to normal.

Wonder how many are going to be done with the game if they say sorry nothing we can do.

Last time the World of Warships servers were down due to a programming error every player was given a 24 hr Premium status FREE. This is something you normally have to purchase. SO maybe Bungie should look at giving us an amount of SILVER in recompense for the outage/screw-up once we are back to normal and have recovered ALL our materials and resources.

I can't wait until next TWAB when you reveal to us that the quality tester has been dead for 8 months but you just hadn't bothered to check in on him. "Phil always stunk, we just didn't think anything of it." I joke because, well come on man, lately this game's issues have been approaching laughable proportions. Other people have said it, but you really need to have a season where you just stop trying to introduce new stuff and clean up the mess.

I’ve enjoyed watching people freak out over this bug. Hey Bungie, if you can’t figure out how to fix the mat issue, just reward everyone with two tokens and a blue Engram. Maybe throw some busted shaders in too. 😆

Bungie, While you are looking into missing currencies, please look into why I paid for the annual pass before Shadowkeep and when the new season came out I had to pay again? Funny how difficult it is tp directly contact Bungie for payment dispute issues.

I mean tbh glimmer isn't that bad to lose. I totally understand about shards and other stuff. I hope it gets fixed, but you all need to understand there might not be anything they can do and it's not their fault. Make a flawless game and then you can come back and -blam!- about it.

Bungie should do updates at midnight and not noon. So by the the time they fix it, it'll noon and not midnight.

Since AV split, every time we have a download we have more issues arrise?? How much more am I to take before I move on?? Hanging in there, but come on guys? I buy every new season not just one DLC at a time, I buy the top tier package each time.... Please, Please test the content before releasing it. Or take down in the middle of the night so if this keeps happening you have time to fix before reset times!!!!!!! Please and thank you.

There went my gaming night. The update was suppose to be finished at 8 PM where I live. Now they say next info about the issue will be in 1 hour, 11 PM. =(
