Updated 7 PM - [BUNGIE] Known Issue: Missing Currencies and Materials after Update 2.7.1
Hello all,
We are actively investigating an issue where players may have lost some of their Glimmer, Bright Dust, Infusion Materials, and/or other types of game currencies. As part of the investigation, we are bringing Destiny 2 offline to prevent further loss of materials.
We will provide updates here and on [url=https://twitter.com/BungieHelp]@BungieHelp[/url] as we determine the cause of this issue.
[u][b]11 AM Update[/b]: [/u]
We believe we have identified the cause of this issue and are working on a fix internally. Destiny 2 will continue to be offline until we have a better understanding of the timeline for this fix. We will provide another update by 12 PM Pacific.
[u][b]12 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We are testing a fix for this issue internally, including investigating resolutions that would restore missing currencies and materials to players. Destiny 2 will continue to be offline while we test this fix. We will provide another update by 1 PM Pacific.
[u][b]1 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We are continuing to perform tests of possible solutions to restore missing currencies and materials to players. Destiny 2 will remain offline until the issue can be resolved. We will provide another update by 2 PM Pacific.
[u][b]2 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We have validated a fix for this issue and will be rolling back all player accounts to how they were before Update 2.7.1 went live. Destiny 2 will remain offline for several more hours as we deploy this fix. Another update will be provided by 3 PM Pacific.
[u][b]3 PM Update:[/b][/u]
We’re continuing work to fix the issue that caused loss of currencies and materials. All player accounts will be rolled back to the state they were in at around 8:30 AM Pacific.
- Players may have to redo any progress or quests they completed between 8:30 - 10 AM PST.
- Purchases made between 8:30 - 10 AM PST will need to be redone. Silver spent during that time will be restored.
- Destiny 2 Silver purchases from the platform store will be added back to player accounts.
- "The Pidgeon and the Phoenix" Lore being removed is a separate issue and will be resolved in a future update
Another update will be provided around 4 PM Pacific.

We’re continuing to work on player account rollbacks and estimate that Destiny 2 will be brought back online at 7 PM Pacific.

Rollback for player accounts is complete and Destiny 2 servers are back online. Players may experience login issues as services return to normal.

So that's why the corridors emblem said 2018, messing with time set our currency amounts back to those amounts. It all makes sense now, why Bastion was one of our favorite weapons. We're too poor to afford anything else.

Really? What's the problem now? Is it the cry babys on weapons or abilities? Look... Bungie I got some real news for you. Now sit back and listen... Average, normal players are having not fun or a good time. Other players run off straight to the boss on strikes and leave others behind that are trying to learn combat and tactics. Do something about that will ya! Next is this down time problem, I know how to fix it... Quit Nerfing everything that people who play are crying about. Do you realize how much time I put in helping the so called community. More then your techs. I know so... I grind. When I had try to play competition crucible, before the changes it was hard and frustrating, now I try and play Classic Crucible, its like the old comp. Wow! You guys are on it... Do better at this game, there is alot of us in the community that are getting feed up with your fail attempts and are ready to bolt. I mean it. Anywhoo... Thanks for listening and trying your best. Just listen to the average player please...

Upgrade Materials, almost all Upgrade Modules, ALL my Blind Well charges, a ton of Glimmer and resources... and that's just the stuff I *remember*. I hope their "We don't restore lost items" policy doesn't apply to a -blam!- up on this scale because... that's dozens of hours of playtime just down the drain. They NEED to fix this.

13 RepliesI don’t even know what else I’m missing. I didn’t get much of a chance to look through it all. And now I see that there’s a “no restoring of lost items” policy? This doesn’t make sense. I hope this will be fixed. I love this game but I hope this issue didn’t just ruin it for me and other people. This sucks.

Oh wow, just when I thought the devs couldn't screw up any worse... I hope that, on the off chance that Bungie can't restore the currency that was lost, there will be free packages--of all the affected currency and items--put in the Postmaster to compensate. And I mean they'd better be large packages or full stacks. I can't even imagine the shitstorm that will ensue, otherwise.

(As far as I know I lost these things: modulus reports, tier I II en III tokens for blind well, 200k glimmer, like 10 prisms, some mod components, 20+ upgrade modules, ghost fragments and probably even more) I hope you can fix this!!
