Wait, hold on a minute. I know stuff happens, but I also can't help but call out BS when I see it. Didn't we just hear about the rigorous testing that needs to happen for the updates to go live last TWAB? Come on, this was really a damage control statement over how bad the bugs this season have been overall.
How can you expect us to take anything you say in good faith when it very much looks like you just throw BS at us to cover your butts?

Youre right stuff happens and i can handle that. But its like if a bug happens that helps a player they fix that stuff immediately. Removed wormgod, 1 month ago because its doing too much damage. Still not back in the game. When does balance come in to this situation.

I work in the tech industry and crap happens. You can test all day long, but until you deploy to production you're always crossing your fingers. I've been involved in Oracle upgrades, Cisco voice/contact center upgrades just to name a few. There's no way to possibly test for everything. I'm not someone who usually gives these folks a pass, but it's a huge platform that's pretty damn complex. It would be interesting to see if they provide any sort of root cause analysis that isn't BS. I've seen those reports and most times they cover up the actual cause. I'm certain there are IP things they can't share, but this is one of those times where they need to come clean on what went wrong.

That would be a nightmare and the combined resources of the entire Nigerian princes probs couldn’t do it. If I had to guess, I’m thinking blanket fix. I lost a bunch of stuff but something is better than nothing and nothing is better than this. Plus the dent in revenue today being lost/potentially lost in the future because their bread-and-butter Eververse reset. How many people gonna buy something now when keeping it is uncertain. i couldnt agree more....but thats what im talking about...come out and say hey we screwed up and where not sure how we can fix it but we are going to try. at least give some kind of plan dont just keep all of us just sitting here wondering...with no idea on what or how and if were guna get screwed like last time.

Do you know how many resources have been used, how testing is being done, how much money has been put into it? All we know is the track record we can witness, so it's not that good now. But does that mean structural improvements aren't being made, which will result in improvements later this year? Hell, I don't know. Do you? Nope.

By that rigorous testing they were telling us about? I don't disagree that all games have bugs, but you and I do disagree on whether or not Bungie has been handling their playtesting properly.

Like improving infrastructure and highways. There I a set budget for X amount of time and once it’s spent, gotta wait til the next quarter/annual budget is released to continue the work. That’s why every week is a little fix here, a little there, etc. and not just a giant content drop where we’re spread all over the game playing the new stuff. Since the new seasonal stuff is relatively bare-bones, these little hiccups get amplified because the magician’s misdirections aren’t there anymore. “Pay no attention to the man behind the green curtain.”We’re all just watching them stuff the rabbit into their hat, waiting for the “TA-DAAAA” Edit: yeesh, sorry that was was laced with more analogies than usual

Am i upset yes my day off i cant play am i gonna insult or whine about it no because it happens

You don't need to test 1 million times to find this issue and I do agree that sometimes minor bugs can slip in with new code but this is not a minor issue. It goes from Dev local> test environment >UAT and then production. Hell, they have automation testing, manual testing, code review, unit testing, and UAT testing.

We disagree on what "rigorous testing" should accomplish, it doesn't make me a whiner. I mean if you want to start calling out things, I could very easily call you out on being passed through the "no kid left behind" grammar public schools spit out these days. That's what you do when you call people whiners, you polarize them and make it personal. If you think something as fundamental as a 99% reduction in glimmer is something that should skate through playtesting, that's cool. But I don't, I have a higher expectation. But I'm a "whiner' for it. You know what chief, I can see you name calling and arguing all day so I'm just going to go on with my day.
