Alright, you got a few mins to put up or shut up.
If you cant fix a patch like this in a whole day, you've gotta start looking at your code.
You know why alabama has the longest constitution of any state? It's because they are so daunted by the task of consolidating and revising it, they simply keep adding to it. There are some laws that actually only exist to counteract other laws...because it would've take too long to find and revise the law they were fixing at the time.
Dont be like that. Clean it up the right way, leave notes, dont be too prideful to seperate even further to purify your database management systems, no shame in doing things the 'long way' when the shortcuts are literally breaking your game.

Yes - like that law on the Alabama books where, if a couple gets divorced, they are still brother and sister.

Lol. Or putting salt behind your nephews ear is punishable by death, amended to only be in effect during your nephew's 4th wedding if it is over water. Except I wasnt even joking -
Your second paragraph said to make things shorter. Your third one says to take the "long way". So uh....... what?

Cleaning it up and consolidating is different than literally shortening the code. Doing things the long way means actually going line by line to parse everything legibly and with notes to help visualize how it will affect other systems. This results in a more concise operation, or a "shorter" path, even though the method takes "longer". It's probably less intuitive of a sentence than I intended, but what I said is understandable to the right audience. -
Seriously man, this is getting -blam!-ing ridiculous !
