Bungie does not restore lost characters or items per policy. When did you lose them?

  • You have a PSN and Steam account linked under Cross Save. Which platform is experiencing this issue? And have you tried logging in using the other platform? For instance if the Chicken error is popping up when trying to get in on Steam, have you tried firing up your PS4 and seeing if you can successfully get in on it?

  • The Chicken error code means you're losing connection to the Destiny servers. The first thing to try is clearing your caches. For this you need to unplug your Internet modem, router, and PS4 from power and leave all three disconnected from power for at least 5 minutes, then try again. If clearing the caches doesn't help then you have a connectivity issue that is either in your network or at your ISP. If you're still having issues then answer the following questions. 1. How is your PS4 connected to your network, wired or wireless? 2. What type of Internet service do you have; fiber, cable, dsl, mobile, or satellite? 3. Do you have a router that is separate from your Internet modem? 4. On your PS4 go into Network Settings and run the network test tools and report back the NAT type, upload and download speeds reported. 5. On a computer connected exactly the same way as your PS4 to your network, go to the site www.speedtest.net. Select a server that is located near Seattle, WA USA and run the test. Report back the upload and download speeds as well as the reported ping time. 6. On that same computer, open a command prompt and type the following command, "ping www.bungie.net -n 30" Copy the results and paste them in this thread.
