Nothing more to say on the matter.
Is there ANYBODY here who would show Sedia mercy at the end?
Thought not.
-
**Exodus Crash has entered the chat** No but seriously, even after they nerfed the boss people still bail on the strike as soon as they load in just based on the terrible memories.
-
Nope, the one on Nessus with the disappearing Fallen is still the worst.
-
Valus Tu’uarc, solar burn iron nightfall, pre health nerf **mic drop**
I remember doing that nightfall solo once and it took more than hour with about 1/3 of it being the boss fight at the end, plinking his health away with Icebreaker from the chandelier (which is saying something about how spongey he was considering Icebreaker was both solar and the most powerful sniper you could get at that time).
Someone doesn’t remember wretched eye.
-
Especially if its in the NF Ordeal playlist.
-
Only thing that pisses me off are the blueberries who don’t know to pass the orbs, especially in NFs. I’d still say Festering Core is a worse strike in D2 though
-
Sorry but I think you forgot to say “Chasm of Screams for Thorn” strike
-
It’s the best strike...
ascetically speaking While simultaneously having the worst replability
-
I loved that strike

I actually enjoy Corrupted as a strike! It utilizes so many different game mechanics and several different environments. Yeah, it's a VERY frustrating Nightfall, but a fun strike to run.
-
That strike is every bad habit of content design....every cheap way of getting a OHK on a player....all rolled up into the same experience. I wish I had $5 for every time I've finished that strike and someone from the fire team is still emptying their weapon into Sedia despite the fact that she's no longer Taken. People hate that strike...and all the getting knocked around....and getting knocked off platfroms to fall to their deaths.... ...that much. And the more they increase the difficulty, the more MISERABLE and TEDIOUS it becomes. My personal favorite is when she knocks you up into the air....and then blasts you while you're in the air with perfect accuracy hard enough to knock you off the platform to your death. Unless you're lucky enough to hit something and stop it. That LUCK component and inability to avoid or lessen damage....and dying in some cases....is what I think most people hate about it.
-
What if neither of the options apply to me? I like the strike, so my answer would be no... but I don’t die off the edge repeatedly and doubt I would enjoy that...
-
I had trouble with this strike until I realized I could use the analog sticks to move my character and look in different directions.
-
The Taken utilise every frustrating mechanic in the game; teleporting, blinding, respawning, invulnerability. It's fine on lower difficulties but on higher difficulties Taken combat arenas with very little to no cover just aren't fun to play, in my opinion.
-
Facts. Boring, too. And blueberries the experience! What's "passing the ball"?
-
This is literally the best one. It actually has mechanics, so it's not just a dumb rush to the end. It has great architecture, design, and is not a brain dead activity. I want all strikes to be like this, so I'm not bored into oblivion.
-
No dude strange terrain it is so bad and unfun corrupted just below it
-
I hate jumping puzzles, but this strike is not one of them. How do you manage to "die off the edge" repeatedly? Corrupted is fun and enjoyable. Want some jumping/falling trash - do "up and up" mercury adventure.

Edited by TympanicMalaney: 10/19/2020 7:29:14 PMi'm curious how we are even saving her. we're told by petra that she will try to kill us but we are to save her. how are we doing that? we shoot her just like we shoot every other boss. this also begs the question: if we can save her, why can't we just save all the taken? just sayin...
-
I used to hate it when I struggled with it. And now quite enjoy it. The bigger issue here is : players rightfully hate any mechanic which immediately removes all agency. Just like the stomp mechanic. Removing the ability to move or fight back and just be instantly killed in the same action feels very bad.

the worst strikes are the ones we just run through nuke the boss and done. having a challenge in a game is a good thing and strikes shouldn't be easy as hell

Edited by SMOKEY D 7: 10/19/2020 10:09:48 PMI actually ran with 2 randos last night. Everyone throwing orbs to each other to power up. Picking up each other when we died a couple times. My faith in humanity has been brightened. I am a fan of the strike, it is by far the most challenging of any strike. But it is something I like to run once in a while not all the time.

The biggest problem I have noticed when playing this strike. Is everyone always runs defensive supers. Witch this is the one strike you do not do that, enemies are too aggressive. Titan- Solar middle tree, use this 2nd damage phase of the first encounter of the boss and you will clear out almost all the enemies. Hunter- multiple tether is still best bet and rock the improved invisibility helmet. You can go invis pretty much anytime you want if you know how to do it. Warlock(my fav for this strike)- bottom tree dawnblade with the exotic boots that create empowering and healing rifts after every single kill you get and they last about 10 seconds. On top of that your super extends with every kill as well. 1. Everyone must have mics at least to figure out who's running what. 2. You can't play aggressive (unless using super.) 3. Don't be dumb. Jotunn or witherhoard is really good in this strike paired with Falling guillotine (taken or major spec) This strike is really not bad if you have competent teammates, takes a long time I know.

Bungo doesn't understand the difference between hard or challenging and annoying. Until they learn that, lots will leave for good.
-
Yup, it's the worst.
-
It depends on if you are running it with a fireteam or with blueberries.... Because with blueberries it can get interesting: Uhhh, what? https://youtu.be/IPzJYwzNuKM Facepalm https://youtu.be/-P1rGveSkT4
