The person in the Hawkmoon lore tab isn’t Savathun

It’s Elsie Bray. Savathun didn’t betray anyone for immortality. The sisters agreed to the Worm Pact. Elsie on the other hand, lost her dad to the Exo program and she never exposed Clovis secrets on Europa. Which helped usher in the Collapse. Plus the descriptions used for Crow? That’s attraction. Highly doubt the Hive God of Deception is crushing on a Guardian.

  • <Technically Savathun's betrayed an untold amount of people, even her own siblings. Not exactly at the time of the Worm Pact, rather far after the fact. She infiltrated dozens of civilizations and struck them down from within, she betrayed Oryx and Xivu multiple times (out of "love" but we all know she had no idea Auryx would come back the first time she killed him over Fundament). Hell, she straight up played a part in orchestrating Oryx's permanent death and has no intent to bring him back.>

Multiple times it’s emphasized the writer is confused about the guardian and Crow being happy in a time of desperation and basically pre-apocalypse. A “How can you be happy in a time like this?” moment that many cynical characters have. As for the description of Crow, no. At the end it’s stated it went against their expectations, and that’s why they’re analyzing it. It’s fairly common for people to try and analyze things that aren’t living up to their expectations. Further proof it isn’t attraction, is how after looking at the guardian and Crow are goofing off they’re reminded of the good times they used to have with their sisters, implying a feeling of yearning for an emotion that isn’t necessarily present anymore. FINALLY, that isn’t actually description of attraction.
The Crow is so carefree in his ignorance. The bonfire's glow lights up his pale features and I am drawn to the hope in his gold eyes. Where is the despairing child I anticipated?
It’s confusion that there’s hope in his eyes. That he still believes despite the odds. Ok, maybe not finally, but why would Stranger expect him to be despair from Crow? How would she even know enough about him to give a shit? She didn’t know Cayde or Uldren and has no frame of reference. I don’t know, maybe I’m salty whoever is watching isn’t paying attention to my guardian who can rock those Lucky Pants, but nah that isn’t it. I’m mainly trying to justify it isn’t attraction because I really don’t want to see Savathun and Crow dry hump each other. Yeah, I hate to be that guy, but it’s also not Elsie, and is indeed Savathun. Here’s why.
I am reminded of my sisters. Of moments spent by lapping shores, gazing up at infinite stars full of possibilities and wonder. I am left yearning.
Elsie has one sister, while the description says sisters, which is plural. Savathun had two sisters. 1 point for Savathun. The Hive before the gods gave them the ability to explore didn’t know what was beyond the stars, thus the feelings of wonder. Elsie was living in a time where humanity had explored many of the nearby stars. Not saying you can’t still wonder, it just wouldn’t be your top priority. Another point for Savathun. The Hive home world required the sisters to sail through rough seas in order to reach the worm gods underneath. Giving us a match for the shores part. Where the f•ck did Elsie grow up? I don’t know, and I don’t really care. But since we don’t know, we can’t confirm whether or not there was shores. So yet another point for Savathun.
I am reminded of my home. I am reminded of the warmth of the sun and the embrace of my family. I am reminded of my father's face. I am reminded of everyone I betrayed. All the blood spilled in the name of immortality. The warmth of the sun burns me with its memory.
Savathun seemed much closer to her family than Elsie. Elsie’s home life was less than ideal following dialogue from Beyond Light. Another point to Savathun. HIVE HAVE FATHERS? The f•ck? You know, I’m not going to question Hive anatomy and reproduction. Thanks to Archival Mind for providing an explanation about the Hive gods.
<The three Hive Gods have a common father. The once Osmium King who perished during the invasion of the Osmium Court by the Helium Drinkers. Oryx himself is a dad to Crota and Nokris, and an indirect father to Ir Anuk and Ir Halak (their origins confuse me).>
I’d say they’re tied, but considering prior context... Savathun betrayed way more people than Elsie, including her former sister was brother, who she was very close with. You get the point, wait no, not that kinda point. That point goes to Savvy. The Hive and Savathun have killed so much just for immorality through Throne Worlds, it once again makes more sense for Savathun to point out. Exos aren’t necessarily immortal if I remember correctly, but I haven’t really been keeping up closely with that. Savathun has weird hive skin that can feel the sun. Elsie is actually made of metal. The sun can’t burn her skin, unless she 1v1s it. Additionally, how would Elsie be watching us? How could she see so close of details. I doubt she’s stalking us when she has better things to do. Savathun is also said in the Hawkmoon missions to “Have eyes everywhere” so logically it once again points to Savathun. Sorry to send an essay, I like that you’re thinking outside of the box and attempting to bring something new to the table. But this is why I agree with everyone else that’s it’s not the case. Now onto the real problem. Savathun is Purple Guy, and Yellow guy is Oryx. So on the timeline–
