I'm not sure what's giving the community the idea that this game is run by a democracy. Bungie will do what they feel is best for the game and have shown this repeatedly in the past. And to be fair to Luke in this case, he seems to be talking about something that would eventually have to happen if they were going to unify the supers and make them like the stasis model. He's not saying this is something that's going to happen next week. People whined endlessly about weapon sunsetting but people seem to still be playing and I personally think the game is healthier for it. People need to stop complaining about Destiny while still logging in 30 hours a week. If you don't like the direction the game is going you're free to take your time and money elsewhere.

Unified in showing that we can’t handle transparency. Smith shows us the respect in giving us a seat at the table as an idea takes shape....and we panic. [i]Fix your game Bungie....but don’t change it.....[/i] As a warlock main, half of my supers are unusable. And only two of my subclasses are end-game viable. WTF are we fighting to protect? Supers that no one uses? WHY??

The real question is, is it enough? Will this stop Luke Smith from doing what everyone or at least almost everyone, hates. Or will everyone continue to support them with their heads down and continue the cycle.

I'm seeing a lot of posts against the changes Luke Smith has forced on the game. I've started a poll to see just how many people agree with us. Please head over there, give it an upvote, and a answer so as many people see as possible.

Luke is not asking for approval, it’s being done. But it will be badly implemented like everything in this game.

It's actually more unified when we heard about sunsetting, the entire forum is shitting on it for weeks but bungie get what they want they do, don't fight, they always do, we don't have a voice, don't pretend we do

Supers aren’t getting sunset they are getting reworked and plus he said it’s not happening any time soon Personally I’d stop worrying about the future and enjoy the game and if you can’t don’t tell everyone about it[spoiler]this isn’t meant to be toxic by the way, hopefully by “tweaking” the supers they let you mix and match the perks we currently have because I wound mind having bubble with shield bash[/spoiler]

Im for sunsetting garbage supers, who even uses nova warp or bottom tree dawn breaker? Who uses nightstalker or mid tree arcstrider? Who uses sentinel or mid tree sunbreaker? These supers have no identity or pretty much any use in either pve or pvp because there are far better options. If bungie removes these useless supers and gives players the choices we have no with stasis on top of buffing the heck out of whatever supers they decide to keep, thats a far better option than what we have right now. Im all for customization, leaving light based subclasses how they are right now is terrible, just look at how fun it is to run stasis? You can make whatever build you want which is exactly what I want for light based subclasses too.

I think Luke Smith needs to stretch this game out as long as possible to keep profits coming in, so they can pay for whatever new IP they are currently working on. I think because Destiny was not released while [i]he[/i] was director, he doesn't care as much for the title and this has filtered down through the ranks. I think he sees this game for what it is; which is an opportunity to enrich himself and the company, in order to fund the [i]current[/i] Bungie's next big project. I think they all see it as a stepping stone to something else, and the players of this community are just the mortar.

I stand! (well...sit here at my desk behind my computer screen)...unified with you, my fellow guardian!!! This sunsetting is nonsense and out of control...I took a long break from Destiny 2 because of it. Plenty of good games out there right now, both on PS4 store, and Steam depending on how you play D2. I caved when I saw Beyond Light for sale, and I gave it a go. The pve is okay. The sights of Europa on PC are really impressive. Stasis is nonsense for crucible. I've been playing for about a week and I'm almost half way through the season pass. After this...no more money into this game (I've said before :( but this time I mean it...I'm sure.) Sunset supers and exotics, and I will sunset Destiny 2 from my computer SSD.

Rather than sunset, why not add the modification system the darkness has to the light? Allow for switching supers and elements instead of the railroaded version we have

We need to be having more constructive feedback like this on the forums where we discuss issues and respect each other's input. Belittling each other and attacking posts just exhausts issues. Posts where as a community we can debate perspectives is dialogue Bungie can measure productively.
