How are y’all doing tonight? *cricket chirp* *looks out into the audience of this forum’s Skullgirls fanbase* *all of the chairs but one or two are empty* Right then, I have exciting news for you all! As of yesterday, Skullgirls has added its first DLC character in seven years, and it is none other than Annie of the Stars herself! Annie was made immortal by the Skull Heart, when her mother wished upon it. As a result of her wish, her mother became a Skullgirl, and was eventually destroyed, leaving Annie alone as an immortal orphan, left to wander the world. Eventually she met Sagan, who took her left eye in exchange for granting her magical powers, which were only augmented by her sword made from a meteorite! Knowing she had to use her newfound powers for good, and seeing its wicked power firsthand, she vowed to fight the Skull Heart wherever it appeared! An uncountably many years later, many of Annie’s heroic deede have faded into legend.. Legends that then got made into a TV show called Annie of the Stars, where she plays herself in the starring role! Unfortunately, the DLC isn’t [i]quite[/i] out on console yet, so I can’t actually tell you how Annie actually plays, but you can expect her release on PS4 to be somewhere around May. Switch is TBA. Unfortunately, for all the Xbox players out there, Annie [i]will not[/i] be coming to Xbox in the foreseeable future, as Xbox doesn’t currently have a port of Second Encore. Future Club have stated they want to make an Xbox One port, but can’t promise anything yet. Oh, but that isn’t all the good news I have to share with y’all! Annie is not the final character to be added to the game! In fact, we have [i]three[/i] more on the way! Who they are has yet to be revealed, but don’t you worry, because I will be here to keep y’all updated on this game that none of you care about! [b][u]Tl;dr? Here’s my point![/u][/b] Annie of the Stars has taken the stage, and joined the Skullgirls roster! If you are playing on Steam, and have the Annie DLC or Season pass purchased, you can play as Annie by switching the game into Beta Mode. Be aware that players in Beta Mode cannot play with players in the standard release, an vice versa. (but I think you can switch at any time) To those on PS4, Annie will be releasing around May, while Switch is TBA. Xbox 360, PS3, and PSVita ports will no longer be getting new content. Also, there’s three more characters on the way—potentially four if the season pass sells well enough. But that’s all for now, folks! Jambuhbye!
