Bungie, Stop making these asinine activities in a shooter looter rpg. Its getting old. You have been doing it since D1. Get some more creative staff, or you are going to lose more of your fanbase than when you let Activision piss in the pool.

Mad cus too heavy to jump
-
Jumping puzzles in this game aren't that bad. Unless you're a Hunter, you can live in the air.
-
No shame in admitting you suck at platforming.
-
Platforming is a part of destiny. It’s always been a part of raids, it’s been in some strikes, and it’s honestly one of the things this game does best. I’m so sorry that pressing the spacebar is such a massive inconvenience to you but quite frankly a lot of people love it myself included.
-
Yo I -blam!-in love jumping puzzles. Get this trash post outta here
-
1 ReplyJumping puzzles are not creative enough in a game where it’s shoot everything in sight game?
-
Edited by Wintermute 2050: 5/31/2021 4:35:07 PMI absolutely hate platforming. It is a cheap, mindless mechanic. This morning I started the quest on my second character to earn points towards the triumph to defeat Champions. After dying a few times, I said to hell with it. I abandoned the quest. I will not waste time on this trash. The remaining seasonal triumphs will never get completed.

The jumping parts of the raid are good natural breaks between major fights. Character movements and navigation through environments and puzzles are fun and a big part of Destiny. It’s not just shooting, it’s exploring as well. 90+% of the players over 1000+ raids have always enjoyed them. And there usually is chest to go after for jumping through a hoop. Some do take a little bit of learning but that is part of it. Ok, except for the throw ball / jump / carry / climb puzzle in the Spire which was 50/50 at best. The timed ball part was an over the top complication that a lot of players would even deal with during the runs. Depending on the day, usually someone bails during the jumping, goes for a snack break and rejoins when the team is at the next stage. If all you want is a grounded based shooter the there are plenty of games for you.

1 ReplyI love jumping puzzles. It’s a nice change from just “go here, shoot this.”
-
3 RepliesOh you think THIS is a pain in the ass? You obviously never made the climb to Felwinter's Peak. Now THAT was a right pain in the ass.

Jumping puzzles are Boring!
-
1 ReplySince D1 jumping sections were always part of the more challenging parts of the game, or other sections like Strikes. It's part of the Destiny universe and overall gameplay design. So take it or leave it. Complaining about that would be like complaining about Dark Souls being too hard. Simply get better.
-
It's in the game since D1 because it is part of what Destiny is. It's not just a shooter, it is a game about movement too. We have juming abilities for a reason. Not just for dodging bullets in pvp.
-
Tbf bungies mechanics are very boring. It’s either symbol callouts or a game of hopscotch lol
-
1 ReplyYeah I was also thinking the jump puzzles are played out. I want missions with characters doing cool things during the gameplay like that prison of elders mission in Forsaken. I want to fight alongside Zavala or Shaxx in a mission. Give us more cinematic story mission gameplay.
-
Personally, I am not a fan of them, but there certainly seem to be others that get a kick out of them🙄. I prefer my jumping puzzles like the ones in Override. Much shorter than Expunge and with easier additional platforms available. That way, the jumping enthusiasts can still go at it, while those that despise them can take a much easier route,

Mad cus bad?
-
2 RepliesCouldn’t agree with you more, the majority of the player base hates the jumping puzzles.
-
Nice opinion. One small problem with it, though. Upon further inspection, it appears your opinion is objectively incorrect.
-
let's design a game with extremely precise and excellent-to-control jump mechanics, and never design any content around it
-
I wouldn’t mind the jumping puzzles if there was less of it in Expunge.
-
1 ReplyCurious, did you create this post because you can't do them? I'm just trying to understand because they are not usually hard, like ever. I think they are fun, I know most of the community don't mind them. This might be a you problem.
-
You have been doing it since D1.
Which means it’s a staple point in their activities. Never going to get rid of it.
-
The jumping puzzles are brilliant, going back to vog🙂
-
1 ReplyDon't you touch my platforming! Those were my favorite parts of the Whisper and Zero Hour missions; especially the latter!
-
Jumping puzzles with a timer is not great but I dont mind the platforming so much with ledge grab to save your butt
