People from Pakistan cannot play your game [URGENT]

Hello Bungie, This is an ongoing issue for more than 4 months and we've gotten no actual response from your end apart from your bot giving us a general networking fixes link. This is mainly concerning the ISP's Optix and Stormfiber, one of the few good fiber companies over here unfortunately. We experience error code ARUGULA without any concrete evidence on what causes it. It's generally noted to be caused after an update, weekly reset, during bad weather or even randomly out of nowhere. It generally fixes itself for a day or two and the error code plagues us again for 1-4 weeks. The general symptoms we face are a desync between the player and the server. We are unable to kill enemies, unable to interact with objects and get kicked from the game after 5-10 minutes with the aforementioned error code. We do not get a 'Contacting destiny servers' in orbit. Other services work fine. Other games work flawlessly. This occurs in both solo and multiplayer activities. There is no issues with the tower, it's only caused in the activities of the game. There is no issue when we observe other people in a raid, they are moving and killing enemies normally without teleporting but we are unable to kill anything or do the raid mechanics. Party chat works like normal without any issues. I, myself have followed these steps and there still is no permanent fix: - Switched to a LAN cable - Bought a Static IP connection from my ISP - Enabled uPnP/Enabled DMZ (I've tried connecting to the game several times without it aswell) - Power cycling my router and ps4 - Bought and configured a new router (Old router is a Huawei ONT, new one is a TP-Link but I have switched back to the old one since it didn't fix the issue) - Used a brand new LAN cable - Got my neighborhood fiber cables replaced after paying a hefty sum - Disabled my router's firewall with the help of an Optix representative accidentally giving me their login credentials :P - Changed DNS to Google and OpenDNS - Redownloaded the game, verified licenses aswell (Doubt that'd work but i tried atleast) - Nat Type 2 connection verified by ISP - Setup my PS4 as primary - Tried Wi-Fi connection (Spoiler, it's even worse) - Communicated with my ISP and changed my route to bungie.net multiple times to a more direct path (I monitor this myself using pingplotter) Please try to help us as there's players quitting your game from this country day after day. No other game is causing us lag issues and my best guess is that there's a desync issue between our client and the game's server. I've been going back and forth with my ISP Optix for 3 weeks and we are both unable to solve this issue from the information we have. I myself play on a PS4 with Optix's FTTH connection using a Huawei hg8546m router Here is the contact info of the ISP's: https://optix.pk/optix-help/ https://www.stormfiber.com/contact-us/ Here are two links to provide as evidence that it's not only me having this issue https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTechSupport/comments/mpf1qg/destiny_2_error_code_arugula_on_ps4/ https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/259142536 Here are multiple traceroutes with the first picture being the latest. https://imgur.com/a/qBYu4HA Please help us

Same problem, but only after season of the lost started. Had no issues before that. My connection to all other online games is fantastic, this is mind-boggling.

  • An Update on this entire situation: Our government issued a bill months ago about monitoring "Grey Traffic". PTI is using a foreign company's AI software (?) which does deep packet inspection on every single VoIP and p2p port that isn't registered with the government, causing some packets to just go missing and cause massive de-sync issues. This is why Destiny and Warframe don't work in the entire country. Discord voice calls are also suffering massively due to this. I can't do anything on my end to solve this anymore so I just left the game. This info is for anyone who finds their way to this post. Your best alternative is to use a VPN that isn't blocked by the country but even then you will face connection issues (yes, even on paid VPNs)

  • Hey there. Thanks for your report. The ARUGULA error code appears when our servers can't detect a player performing any actions in the game. Basically, the game doesn't think you exist, so it will kick you out so you can reload the activity. This is always due to a bad internet connection. It's possible that your router/modem has a security feature enabled that is preventing a proper connection to our servers. Some modems, like Technicolor, do this, and I've seen it happen to Huawei routers as well. Are you only using a router, or do you also have a separate modem?

    • Try VPN this will bypass the routes the ISP has and you will get a stable connection.

      • Still experiencing this error, last seen yesterday where I started GM nightfall... I couldnt kill any ads, skipped to next section and found no ads spawning till boss room. All empty for me while my teammates were playing normally. As soon I dropped into boss room, bang "Arugula" welcomed me. Frequency is tad lower in this week than previous months. Hope someone at bungie investigates and acknowledges this. Cheers Fellow Guardian
