Bungie Names is a perfect opportunity to...
Bungie Names is a great way to implement Character specific names. You can have a character name, which will be for display purposes only. Then the same bungie name system can be utilized for invites, crossplay, etc.
There has been a demand for character names in the past, so why not now?

2 RepliesThat's actually a really good idea, but I suppose for most cases it requires a Steam Account, considering it costs so money to change the name on Playstation and Xbox.

1 ReplyDark Souls has something similar. When you create a character, you give it a name. Then, in the settings tab, you can choose whether to display the Username of players or to display their character's name. Perhaps something similar could be added?
