Appear Offline Option for Bungie Friends
Would seriously love the option to appear offline for the bungie friends list. It's a privacy issue being overlooked in a surprisingly big way. Please fix this. Much love.

its actually INSANE this is still not an option. Youve literally overhauled the entire armor system twice, changed mods like 3 times added multiple subclasses and have gone through 3 or 4 expansions WERE IN A COMPLETELY NEW SAGA NOW and we STILL do not have one of the simplest options in the game. this is legitimately infuriating but also so on the nose for bungie its crazy. lol Whats also funnier is they've actually ADDED a feature that tells your entire friends list of when you are online directly on screen the second you log in and they turned it on by default for everyone, making this request EVEN MORE VALID.. but have not made it so we can make our own status private.

See only people without friends and/or no anxiety commenting that you're a coward or mean wouldn't agree with this. I enjoy raiding with my friends and I just completed the Vox Obscura mission on heroic with two of them. But sometimes I want to grind something working through a backlog of my flavor-of-the-month podcasts and try to get a better dungeon-exclusive armor piece without having to answer 5 different messages from my friends like "we need a sixth" without feeling guilty and letting them down when I can just bypass the long convo and guilt for letting them down even if they ARE understanding and let me do my thing. It's a matter of choice and adding the feature means everything to those who want it and nothing to those who don't. Don't want to be invisible? THEN DON'T ACTIVATE IT there's no reason to not add option features into a game to make players like it more and apply choice.

Edited by SsudioO: 6/22/2022 1:17:56 PMI thought I noticed something in Account settings > Privacy > Show game progression options that mentioned current status; though I'm not sure if that affects the Bungie, online/offline status or is for something else.... edit: Nvm. Tested it out with an alt Bungie account and it doesn't affect your online/offline status with the Bungie platform. That was misleading lol 😆
