They barely get stunned, they only last like 2 seconds being stunned and they throw like 5 attacks in a row while they're supposed to be stunned. Fix this please, it's horrible

24 RepliesI can solo kill an overload in a GM using nothing but a khvostov. That would not be possible if they were as bugged as you people continually claim. Keep sustained damage from an overload weapon on them like is intended and they don't teleport or regain health.
-
I think the biggest part of the problem is it won't trigger the disrupting affect until your deep into your magazine because the trigger has to be held down. With the rate of fire on some SMGs and the constant teleporting of overload champs (especially captains) you can't get a stun unless you started with a full mag. Funnelweb is all the rage right now but it's dog -blam!- against champions by itself. Unstoppable and barrier Champs require one weapon each. Overloads take a weapon, grenades, a designated exotic, an act of congress, and a firm decision from my wife about where to go to dinner before you can kill them. I remember 2 or 3 seasons ago we had overload smg and I'd use Riskrunner in DSC. It did alright against the overloads but there were still times I'd dump a whole mag and they'd just tank it.

2 RepliesAlso health bar is bit weird Health empty but still alive
-
Best way to handle when using auto is: Ads on a rock ur hiding behind, start shooting the rock then peak when overload shot procs and hit the overload. Or…. Just use overload grenades mixed with div
-
31 RepliesI think part of the issue is overload auto/smg is trash and takes 10 years to proc the stun where as something like an overload bow is on the first shot
-
5 RepliesDon't bother fixing them. Just remove them (and Champions in general.) People are sick of Champs at this point.
-
5 RepliesDivinity renders the threat posed by overloads null and void. If you don’t have access to that then for this season the osteo Strega is also excellent.
-
I saved a video of me emptying an entire 99 round magazine from Strega into an overload taken hobgob and it not reacting. Until after it killed me. Then proceeded to be chain stunned for the next 60 seconds. Jesus Bungie if you’re going to stick to your champion guns then at least make them work.
-
3 RepliesGet divinity. Makes this weeks gm a walk in the park.
-
Make sure you don’t attack them with stasis. Stasis resets champion stuns, causing them to get back up instantly.
-
1 ReplyAbsolutely dog sh*t bad. They are so inconsistent I'd rather fight a fkin raid boss instead an overload. Make me explode 4 blights that are dropped by taken ogres, while standing at a totem, fighting different shielded servitors with different element scorch cannons, while also avoiding taken balls, and shooting oracles. That would be more mechanically sound than the current state of champions.
-
Yeah they suck. I don’t mess with them, just stun and double Ghally. Only primary I have that can hang with them is the god rolled duty bound.
-
Barrier and unstoppable are pretty consistent but overload is so ridiculous. If you get a stun you need to quickly dps but you might be finally getting a stun but captain teleports and throws a darkness grenade/ball that you don’t have time to dps to kill. Then you have to stun it again but it’s healing or healed.
-
5 RepliesI feel you, osteo striga seems to be the most effective weapon currently

3 RepliesWe will see posts like this until the day the game dies; Bungie simply does not care. They said they fixed the stun but this season overloads have been the worst. Not just the stun element, but their actions before and after stuns. Last night farming GM Glassway; overloads simply got up and walked away immediately after being stunned by overload rocket and agers (using secant filaments) and grenades. Not only that; the overloads are teleporting from outside through solid walls to kill you. The barriers in GM Glassway are also messed up; rubberbanding from top ledges to the center of the arena and back. Unstoppables showing no health and immune to damage also. I think the champ programming is broken and they don't care to correct it.
They barely get stunned, they only last like 2 seconds being stunned and they throw like 5 attacks in a row while they're supposed to be stunned. Fix this please, it's horrible
Divinity works wonders! As well as with an overload void grenade. Throw in the weaken aspect and they die really fast. Farmed Glass Way doing 25 min runs. Just need to communicate and focus one at a time.

Edited by Nova: 4/22/2022 1:59:50 PMGlassway overload minotaurs are are a joke. Takes forever to proc the stun, then by time you switch to a heavy weapon for DPS they are already regenerating and apeing you.
-
2 RepliesThis is a finnicky solution but 90% of the time it works. Any overload weapon you use aim for the head. For some wierd reason headshotting them fixes them in place even when they move out of their stunned state. If you're a warlock use Secant Filaments and sit in your emp rift. You can turn most if not all weapons into an overload weapon via that. It's not a perfect work around but it's better than waiting for Bungie to sort the pesky bugging overloads out.
-
2 RepliesI believe Bungie acknowledged they are bugged. While they take their sweet time fixing them you’ll need a weapon that does DoT damage to be of any real impact on then.
-
7 RepliesStop treating Overloads as if they were Unstoppables and you'll have no problem.
-
Champs would be allright if - big IF - you could make any weapon stun a champ, instead of the few that Bungie shortsightedly (read dumb) picked in the Artifact pool.
-
1 ReplyLeave it to the real players

1 ReplyWelcome to the club! You could say its "overloaded" with members. Hahaha On a more serious note, its complete garbage, and has stopped me from wanting to do anything that has those clowns in it. Overload grenades, osteo striga or Divinity seem to be the best work around. If you're like me and only have grenades to rely on, pack something that gives you grenade energy too.
-
Overloads should just be removed overall mainly because they are just annoying enemies and they just teleport all around the area like some anime characters and they barely get stunned and when I was fighting overloads turns out the bullet to stun them is that you need to lay a bunch of bullets on them to get the overload round to stun them. Also they literally get unstunned in a second.
-
It does suck, but you can have better success by working on your timing. That would be, switching your weapons very quickly, and using Gally for the kill. Or…….Use the new exotic sub machine gun to stun them and keep firing. It will actually re-stun the champion before it can star to heal itself.
