PvP has been bad because of toxic people with high K/D. You think that just because you have such a high KD that you're the best player out there and it inflates your ego. I swear that people with high KD are like a hive mind, all of you have the most inflated egos out there.
Do any of you even know why skill-based matchmaking is a thing? I'll tell you why it’s because Bungie with the use of elaborate graphs, recorded matches and players in PvP and came to the conclusion that PvP was unfair. Because they noticed that people with high K/D who were paired up against people low K/D had a much higher advantage to the point that before the first bullet was even fired the people with the high K/D's would win no matter what. Bungie factually stated that their PvP was unfair and unbalanced so this is the reason why they have skill-based matchmaking because it's not fair and that is Bungie's words with facts to back it up not mine.
A lot of reason why people are backing up skill-based matchmaking is because one thing and I am about to say that but first a lot of PvP players have such small brains they cannot realize that not everyone no matter how hard they try can be good at PvP. Now occasional and serious PvP players have one thing in common, they both have to grind a lot. When it comes to destiny PvP players have to grind a lot to get stuff for instance you have to reset in the Crucible twice to get the Crucible skins for the seasonal weapons, there's a ton of seasonal challenges that require you to do PvP for the bright dust, and also there are many quests out there that require you to grind PvP for things like catalysts or even bounties like the Crucible bounties or the clan Crucible bounties. So, there's a lot of things that serious PvP players have to do in Crucible or even non serious players that don't want to do it but have to do it anyway because they want to progress or be a completionist or maybe they want that new catalyst. So, Bungie made skill-based matchmaking so that it could be fair for everyone because truthfully it would be fair if a low KD player fights against low KD player. That fight would be just based on who's better, and skilled players have to fight against skilled players it would be the same thing. The reason why Bungie made skill-based matchmaking is to give lesser skilled players less of a struggle in PVP.
I do not like the PvP community it is a massive cesspool of toxic waste and I completely hate it. I used to play PvP a lot but then I got less and less into it because I start to get very annoyed by the sheer unfairness and unbalanced that was going on in PvP. I got tired of fighting three or six stacks with 1.80 or 2.0 KD's, and I got tired of the t baggers. I got tired of the people harassing me claiming that I was cheating because there inflated ego couldn't handle that they had a bad match and made some mistakes, and they needed reassurance from theme selves that they're an outstanding player because they have a high KD and that such a low KD had to have been a cheater. The PvP community is laughably pathetic and disgusting.
Pvp players can't Bs this we all know why a lot of high-level KD players are complaining about skill-based matchmaking. They can't handle fighting against people that are equal in level to them they want to win matches the lazy way. They're starting to realize that PvP is now becoming a challenge because in the original PvP they could inflate their KD's by farm killing lower-level players. Now there K/D’s are starting to lower because they actually have a challenge where they have to fight people that are equal in strength to them, and we all know the reason why all of these egomaniac elitist -blam!- want skill based matchmaking disabled is because they want to start farming lower K/ds again to boost their K/D and their inflated egos because it was much easier for them to abuse the weaker side of the PvP community than actually standing up and fighting someone that's at your level.
Also, the big hypocrites out here are these complainy PvP players. If you ask any PvP player how to get better at PvP, they will say you fight against someone that's equal or better than you and you fight them and learn to adapt to the situation and learn how to use weapons or the environment to your benefit. Where the hell did that sentiment go? You guys have to now fight people equal or greater than you in PvP and now all of a sudden you can't handle them. You don't want to follow your own knowledgeable rules of how to get better at PvP and all you want to do now is whine about removing skill-based matchmaking. What can’t you adapt and overcome the situation and improve as a pvp player? That's the most hypocritical thing I've ever seen.
Most of the extremely toxic PvP players will most likely read this and start whining in the comments and be toxic and say get good but I will say it better for them.
The time for abusing lower skilled players is over and the time to pick on someone your own size is now, it's time to get good or get out.
Editor's note: I used a couple of words in my little essay to see if whether or not PvP players will do what I thought they would do or not and you all didn't disappoint. I mean it was going to happen either way elite PvP players at this point all share a hive mind. The comment section down below is an absolute cesspool of the worst garbage that comes out of the worst people's mouths some of the stuff down there you would think a preschooler was writing even. You did not disappoint and all you did was prove me right. The comment section down below for any new player, chill competitive player, or even any player of any game mode in general this right here is an example of why PvP is falling apart because of the sheer toxicity that spews out of these people’s mouths. Not all were bad. Some people were defending me while other PvP players had an ability to have an intelligent conversations where we could talk one-on-one and talk about each others opinions in an intelligent manner but those are small minorities compared to the major majority that is the elite PvP players’ cesspool of comments.Their ideas and thoughts are warped and twisted and what they think is right is very wrong and if you say anything otherwise, they will try to make excuses justify their blindness and their fear of change by accusing you of the same things they are doing. Just think of what they did in this comment section then imagine what they're doing in the PvP game modes that they play. They're an absolute scourge in this community and this is the reason why skill-based matchmaking became a thing to separate chill people that want fun and not want a pulmonary embolism from dealing with these high level elitist PvP players and their toxicity and hatred. All I can say is if my words are nothing but lies and the deranged ramblings of a madman then why do these words bring out hatred and make people attack if they aren't true: think about that.

7 RepliesGet good buddy, or go play Fortnite The OGs are always right, the noobs, aren't

19 RepliesTLDR: "Good players" are finally being exposed for the stat padding scum they are, meanwhile "bad players" are having fun and actually improving their games
-
38 RepliesOfc a .97 pve player complaining about pvp which mainly does it for pinnacle purposes pours his heart out into a biography of why my ego is better than his lol hottest take

1 ReplyOr conversely, low K/D players needed to stop whining about CBMM. Works two ways.
-
3 RepliesWanna know why people want SBMM removed? Because its a manipulative algorithm that forces 50% W/L ratios to increase player retention. The algorithm rigs every match you play to win or lose. The only way to beat it is to stack and sweat. SBMM is notoriously terrible at manipulating teams of good players. Youre sitting here, wanting this horrible algorithm in a game type that is purely casual, just so you can dodge playing with the other 99% of the playerbase? Might I add you will still run into said 99% of the playerbase when the algorithm wants you to lose? Do you not see the flaw here? So its not ok for you to lose the game to better players under another algorithm, but its ok for you to lose to better players under SBMM? Is it placebo? Denial? I dont get it. The situation only gets worse under SBMM. Yet you support it... I think all of you SBMM supporters need to sit down and understand how PvP works: 1. Theres always a winner, theres always a loser 2. Theres always a bigger fish that will swallow you whole. 3. In casual modes, the stakes are so damn low that winning or losing shouldnt be a big deal... you gain or lose nothing from either outcome. 4. Its just a game... With that said, SBMM itself sets a terrible precedent. You shouldnt be supporting an algorithm like this, it ruins the experience for everyone. You want to know what you should be wanting? A system akin to Halo 3, a game Bungie developed... Wanna know what that SBMM does? Force 50% W/L ratios? Nope. Rig teams to win or lose? Nope. Use corny MMR to balance matches? Nope. Have a base pool everyone matches in? Yep. Move people who lose alot or perform terribly into matches with others who have the same experience? Yep. Move winners up into more challenging matches for a bit? Yep. Eventually move everyone back into that base pool where everyone can play? Yep. Halo 3 was perfect. A perfect balance. It was fun, the stakes werent high, it had protections for people having a bad day. It was amazing. Yet youd rather have this trash we have currently? Mind boggling.

2 RepliesHigh kd qp players are still gonna have high kd’s 🤷♂️ it just won’t be enjoyable in any sense lol
-
Today bungie loosened the “loose sbmm” in control and it’s only week 3. I won’t be surprised if it’s removed altogether by the end of the season in time for the “fireteam preferred” matchmaking.
-
Ah yes, ‘pvp bad because egos’ What a screed, all because someone was a little rough with you in your last loss
-
1 ReplyI don't like SBMM in Destiny for the most glaring reason: The better I get, the more my opponents start to teleport, and I don't have time for that kind of nonsense in my life. Destiny isn't even difficult to learn to play yet people somehow manage to -blam!- -blam!- up easy objectives like Control and suck so bad at it, they hate mail you afterward. Worst thing Bungie ever did was make Destiny F2P.

16 RepliesSo as a “high-skilled player” I’m now forced to play at 100% every game with no loot incentive? Nah I’ll pass and wait for trials, enjoy control though, not worth the 4 legendary shards. Sucks that comp is getting removed too.
-
It is kinda funny bc this game takes probably the least amount of skill of any shooter. It’s why people that are bad at other games flock to Destiny, to feel good about themselves while beating up on casuals
-
Get good.
-
2 RepliesO upvotes makes sense Sbmm is total trash and should never be in casual modes. It cannot be removed fast enough
-
2 RepliesLook at it this way. It’s a casual mode. Not end game pvp. There is no substantial reward. The better players are being punished because of casual/poor players. I do agree that how things were before weren’t ideal either. The only solution I see is having two quickplay modes that are separate. One stays control and has SBMM. The other is just straight clash with CBMM. Poor to more casual players can be safe in control. And the rest can play clash without fear of playing people on the other side of the world.

Not sure why you think we're the ones whining, when it's all you F-listers that shaped the game into what it is now. I don't care if I have to play people on "my level." And I say it like that because usually, I'm pitted against stat padders who sit at the back of the map on their hands and knees with a scout or pulse. Who back out after dying once to save their precious K/DA. Who are usually skipping around everywhere due to the -blam!- connections. Because yeah, guys like that are apparently as good as me and my boys 😂 You have no idea how good you guys have it. I have a right to be furious that I can't shoot in the air anymore.
-
13 RepliesThe classic "Get Good" argument from the people who needed a complete matchmaking change so they had a chance. If you had gotten good in the first place we wouldn't be here
-
I swear that the most toxic people on these forums are bad pvp players. They all seem so angry all the time.
-
SBMM is basically a tax bracket for pvp, which should explain enough as to why its stupid and doesnt need to be there.
-
amount of bots that play crucible only for pinacle then cry for rest of the week got out of hand
-
Nerf character count it’s too op
-
3 RepliesTitle was good enough 😂😂😂😂 In CBMM they used to love saying “playing Crucible against better players is meant to be that way so you improve your skills.” Now they hate it when it applies to them.
-
I’m not reading that but I’m sure that no matter what, somebody will have the shorter end of the stick.
-
sadly, i'm in a bracket that is full of players playing from Asia and Korea, and i'm NA so i'm dealing with bad lag when match making, i like the SBMM but que times are killer, and when i do find a match its terribly one sided. Its either we stomp them or i get new light players vs a full stack of sweats all running Jade Rabbit and my 101 resilience means nothing.

3 RepliesEdited by ILoveI6v6I: 9/6/2022 11:42:07 AMYou've literally played just 1 game of control this season (and got a 0.25 K/D in it), and somehow came up with this giant wall of text in support of SBMM.

Meltdown 😂
