Does the SMG feel good? Yeah-
on the ground.
The weapon is supposed to have a place in the air and AE, of course, makes it feel weaker anyways. That, and I feel like when I jump with the thing, I just get stuck in a giant spider web and can't get down, leaving me for the easy pickings. Uh, don't know what the catalyst does yet, but I doubt it's going to make me like this thing more than I do.
And besides that, a reminder about seasons and other updates. Players are looking for incentive. My incentive is loot. I heard that there's supposed to be a dungeon, but outside of dungeons and raids, loot is once again lackluster. There's not even any new exotic armor this time. And... I do not want to know what the player population is looking like right now. Matchmaking feels slow still.
Lack of incentive is a crippling point for this game. I really hope Lightfall is worth it.
Speaking of Lightfall, when you add a new destination that players are meant to explore and search for secrets, be sure to make the secrets more worth it. You could obtain all of the weapons in the Throne World just by farming High-Value Targets and they were all craftable. The secrets became meaningless unless someone wanted triumphs and lore. Not everyone wants that. If the secrets had more unique loot, then heck yeah. THERE'S the incentive.

Catty gives damage resist per kill while airborne. It'll in theory alleviate some of the danger of being a big floaty pinata for a few seconds.
