Shoulder charges only work on close targets!
Titans shouldn't be able to turn on a dime without using an armor piece like the Twilight Garrison.
As well as having all the benefits of an easy-to-use tank, this class should not have crazy movement as well.
In the same way as "Titan skating" in D1, this should be addressed. Changing the cooldown and prohibiting charging while running against walls would be a good start. This is just mind-boggling even to demand it.
While Bungie looks the other way when Titans have borderline game-breaking mechanics, how about sticking to the fundamentals of class distribution? The Titan is a tank. Slow or at least not very agile. Hunters are fast but barely have any survivability, what also applies to Warlocks that should heal, keep their distance and use attack "magic".
Giving every class everything just won't help to ever come close to a purpose driven game!
EDIT: As I stated, this post is about the dynamics of the game in general and a more role oriented setup. It's mind-boggling to see how people instantly lose their composure. Right, it's Destiny.

4 RepliesAs a hunter main who cares. Oh no, Titans have zoomie kick. This was in D1 as well. So why are you complaining?
-
Edited by Klaus_Reaper (Adept): 2/6/2023 12:04:21 AMThe fact that at this moment titan is the fastest class in the game just shows what class the devs like the most, when warlocks had an edge on movement, it was completely destroyed, hunter was nerfed as well.

Lets make it that if dodge doesn't reload weapons on refund melee it doesn't use it seems fair doesn't it
-
It literally is meant to be an aspect of shoulder charge. Bungie talked about this a while back lmao.

4 RepliesHunters Mains will always cries at the most random ability from other classes 😂
-
2 RepliesIt didn’t used to be but people complained that it shouldn’t be a ohk (which was risk reward for getting that close at a sprint). Now it’s a terrible use for a melee ability but a good movement ability for reaching a position first to set up a barricade or some other bunkering tech
-
Bungie intended for it to be a Titan movement tool when they removed its ohk ability.
-
As a warlock main, it should, I love the titan melee charge abilities, you can spam it.
-
Shoulder charge needs to be a 1 hit kill again they ruined it
-
No, thank you. Titans need movement mechanics that are at least on par with Dodgy Bois and Floaty Bois. There's no point in Titans being third class character classes.
-
Hunter main figures why taf do people just beg for nerfs all time instead of buffs I'm glad I stopped playing when I did this community is gonna have this game become halo by lightfall
-
2 RepliesMy guess is this Hunter main was having problems with Titans in IB.
-
2 RepliesI love how people compare titans to tanks but say they shouldn’t have that movement or speed when yet the best tanks in the world have the best speed since you know… speed is important while maneuvering the battle field. Plus when I see titans doing the side dash I think of hover tanks.
The Titan is a tank. Slow or at least not very agile. Hunters are fast but barely have any survivability, what also applies to Warlocks that should heal, keep their distance and use attack "magic".
The roles shouldn’t be that simple when we currently have so many customization options. If anything, subclasses should give different interpretations of what it means to be a titan, warlock, or hunter. For example, strikers are the ones who charge into the enemies headfirst, so they would have a lot of forward movement and hard hitting abilities that use momentum. Another example is the gunslingers. They are the hunters who always wait for the perfect moment to strike, so they have a number of abilities that require precision and setup, but do lots of damage if used right.

2 RepliesYou are wayyyy over reacting to something that is barely noticeable by everyone, and no one else seems to care lol.

More crucibaby crying. Can you people stop ruining everything?
-
4 RepliesCry harder.
-
bungie will change it at some point, is a problem only for bad players, aka the players bugie listen to
-
You mean the shoulder charge that got nurfed into the ground for the class that is designed to be a dps tank?
-
5 RepliesShoulder charge needs to be some sort of movement technique. Hunters have dodge, warlocks can glide fast to safety but titans can do absolutely nothing but pray they make it behind cover. A nerf to shoulder charge is a major nerf in pve.
-
2 RepliesIf you really wanna hit Titans where it hurts, nerf their crayons...
-
6 RepliesI’d be ok if they gave shoulder charge melees back the power to 1 hit KO, but only if any use of the shoulder charge (hit on not) uses up the melee charge.

1 ReplyLots of people saying crybaby who havent understood the basic thought behind your post I agree with your premise, each class should have a role, currently theres no difference between them at all. You have heavily armored titans who have zero damage resist improvement over a warlock wearing a bathrobe. Go figure, whats all that shiny metal doing? Titans and hunters who have more healing ability that most warlock classes, hunters who have the tankiest builds of them all but no real movement improvements. All classes can invis Wheres the gameplay differences? When i first started this game way back, i picked Titan, liked the idea of being a tanky close range character like in other class based games. Within days i start my warlock because the titan had zero difference.
