Constant Game Crashes - PS5
I'm experiencing major problems with the overall stability of the game on ps5 right now. Within an 90 minutes the App crashed 7 times while either doing Neomuna Patrol stuff or the Defiant Battlegrounds seasonal Playlist. Additionally I got booted to orbit a couple of times with various errors. Most of the time I was using a Strand Subclass, but not exclusively. It's getting really frustrating and feels borderline unplayable when you literally cannot finish an activity. Are there any suggestions or proven to work fixes to circumvent these issues?

Hey OP does your console crash in terminal overload, vex offensive and the vexcalibur mission and the commendations section? That’s what’s causing me crashes

I lost three terminal overload chests because the game would crash seconds before the final chests spawned. Vexcaliber was just as bad. My fireteam got to the final boss and the game crashed. With no damn checkpoints, we had to do it all over again. So. Damned. Frustrating. Bungie needs to lay off the virtue signalling, see Twitter yesterday while the game was crashing, and focus on the game we all paid good money for.

At this point PlayStation players aren't going to be able to do the day 1 raid. So disappointing that such a massive issue gets no attention.

Same here, I did a couple things that seemed to help slow down the crashes, Set my FoV to 90 instead of 105, stopped using strand and necrotic grips.

I keep getting calabrese’d out of the game after just loading into the Tower. Haven’t even started the Vexcalibur quest yet and I plan on doing contest mode so please Bungie, whatever you plan on doing, make it quick

Right, logged in foe the first time today, was on for 10 minutes, got weasel when wandering neomuna, then when i tried to lpg back in it made me wait 45 minutes to even get back to character select, now every time I try to go somehwere I keep getting kicked back to orbit

Yup same with me on my ps5.. especially during public events on Neptune but not limited to.. have sent every crash report as/when it happened.. was starting to think it was my ps5 acting up..

Have had multiple crashes on PS5, all crashes seem to have happened while I was either on strand or one of my fireteam was on strand, all while doing things like Terminal Overlord, or Vexcalibur mission, or seasonal mission, trying the game out on void now and not had any crashes so far but might change, very annoying as it just makes me not want to play the game to be honest

1 ReplyEdited by Fibby: 3/8/2023 4:30:14 PMMine started crashing constantly today, had occasional crashes during terminal overload before maybe once a day if i grinded it but after todays PS5 firmware update the game is unplayable, i can’t even choose a character before the game crashes, and some clanmates are experiencing the same. Cleared cache and rebuild database and neither helped, i deleted the app and i’m dowloading it again to see if a full re-install helps 🤷🏼♂️

I’ve been having the same issue. Mostly in Terminal Overloads, but just happened after killing the boss in nightfall. I managed to get back into the instance, but didn’t get any credit towards the nightfall pinnacle. Super pissed about this one. Bungie you need to fix this! I’m waistline a LOT of time playing these events and not getting credit or rewards…

Hopefully it's fixed before worlds first raid. Does this affect PC players or is it just console. If PC as well and it'll affect the streamers then hopefully it'll get fixed.
