Lost Trust In Bungie.
Unfortunately I don’t see things improving. All decision making appears to put finances above player satisfaction.
As long as Bungie’s bottom line isn’t significantly impacted, they will continue to not live up to the franchises potential and will disappoint players as long as it makes a good profit.
I love the world of Destiny but now might be the time to leave, as I no longer feel respected as a player or as a customer.
I’ve helped run a clan for years and would beat the drum for D2 to everyone I knew, now the game kinda makes me feel gross, I would probably tell others to invest their time in something different and to avoid this game.
I will most probably be back, like many discontent players but one thing is for sure, I don’t care about Destiny half as much as I used to.
Take care all, even the trolls who live in these forums with nothing better to do.

Lol Bungie has the most impressive marketing team I have ever witnessed in the industry. It's astounding how well they manipulated and played every angle to their advantage over the years. It's actually been brilliant.

2 RepliesIt’s not a trust issue it’s a fun issue. When the game is no longer fun to play it’s time to play something else. Just say no to FOMO and take a break from the franchise until Final Shape is released. That could possibly be enough time for Bungie to have seen the error in their ways. BUT don’t hold your breath. The game could still be an unrewarding time sink by then for all we know.

Just preordered Starfield. I have played one game in the last years starting with Destiny day 1 and then Destiny 2. I have thousands of hours on both and enjoyed thoroughly. I'm ready for a change but Destiny has been great for me especially when I was bedridden for 2 years with severe illness. I cannot and will not badmouth the game but I'm ready for something new. It's addicting but just installed Starfield. Ready and waiting. Thank you Destiny

1 ReplyNow my main response to people if they want to get into Destiny is, it’s a money pit. Which is really unfortunate. They had a compelling free to play experience with the year one content available for free. Now it’s bones of bones. I really hate the fact that some areas of the site say it’s absolutely free to play. It’s absolutely untrue that all of the game is free to play. It’s bizarre that they would think that.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who "trust" Bungie to keep their bottom line intact. Game isn't monetized randomly. Millions of dollars go into market research to understand what people want out of games. Eververse is fully stocked for a reason. There are obviously lots of people buying crap from eververse.

Literally all institutions in need of finances to continue its operations, we’ll call them “businesses”, will prioritize profit above all else. Appearing like a caring “business” is the real trick. Bungie has stopped focusing on their product’s quality, or, our satisfaction as you put it. Their finances are plentiful and well…their a business, so why should they act like they care? They have all the money they need from already acting like they care. When Marathon comes out, they’ll dupe the unknowing, the gullible and the desperate into appearing like a caring business. That alone will make them enough money to stop caring again.

3 RepliesI haven't trusted them for a very long time, if ever. I mean, what sort of trust are we talking about? Nothing that really matters. It's a game, after all. I spend a little money to play, and that's on me. In any case, I understand what you mean about feeling appreciated, maybe even respected. I haven't played D2 as much as I played D1, and both of them put together pale in comparison to the amount of time I spent in WoW. When I walked away from WoW, it was for good. THe same will happen, here. I've taken breaks from Destiny, where I just couldn't bear to log in. But once I make that break, we're done. In any event, will very likely not buy anything else from Bungie, at this point....in any universe.

Some people are never gookg to give up on this game “one mans trash is another mans treasure.” But there are other guardians that feel the way you do and with over 4000 hours played this is the worst time ive had in destiny since shadowkeep all my Friends play and more core group we eont even talk about Destiny anymore rarely comes up and if it does its to mention its garbage. So we’ve been playijg Diablo 4 amongst other things and i will just keep moving from game to game until we get something different im not buying anymore silver no event passes not paying that 100 dollars to pre order and feel like i got shafted ill just take everything as it comes and if they dont deliver anything i think is worth buying then so be it.

Since Bungie split from Activision they've only really poor - mid content at best. Shadowkeep & S8-11 were -blam!-. Beyond Light - The Witch Queen was pretty good, but nothing in comparison to Forsaken, or D1. I'd give TWQ expansion the best rating. That was really good. But the content since (S17-present) has even worse than the year that was Shadowkeep. I genuinely hope Sony &/or Bungie can pull Destiny out of the extreme nose dive the expansion is in currently. But, until then I have also had the game uninstalled & haven't been playing since LF.

1 ReplyIt’s to bad that you can’t come on this forum and release your frustration without being heckled. I was also one of those players that would defend this game. My friends were always amazed that I was still playing Destiny after 8 years. But it just isn’t the same game or lol it’s hasn’t changed. I’m was still playing the same content season after season. After several months playing other games I logged back in to see if anything changed and it only took 15 minutes to realize that I didn’t want to get back on the hamster wheel.
