With only Anti-Barrier Sidearm this season and with Lost Sectors being more rewarding than ever, Warlocks have been left behind when dealing with these champions. Hunters have Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk for on-demand Volatile Rounds and Titans have the Second Chance gauntlets.
Yes, I understand that Radiant is available to all via the artifact but there’s a few things to consider:
1. Artifact mods have a finite lifespan and the existence of Flint Striker does not negate the fact that Warlocks don’t have a reliable way to deal with Barrier Champions that rivals the Hunter’s or Titan’s options.
2. Flint Striker is not always reliable, requiring many precision hits without missing—which can prove to be a challenge when trying to hit a relentlessly teleporting Servitor or a Vex Hobgoblin with a tiny crit spot and a powerful attack.
3. Flint Striker pigeonholes you into running a Solar weapon, which is not always the best option for your respective build.
4. The existence of exotics with intrinsic Anti-Barrier capabilities (e.g. Wishender, Arbalest, Eriana’s Vow, etc.) does not negate the fact that Warlocks lack the versatility of the other two subclasses.
Now, with all of the facts and caveats out of the way, here’s my suggestion:
Allow Astrocyte Verse to grant your void weapons Volatile Rounds when coming out of a Blink for a short duration (8-10 seconds). This change would rival Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk but force you into using Blink, which can be challenging in PvE. It would also incentivize the use of Nova Warp to maximize the exotic’s abilities (i.e. Dark Blink not costing super energy). Also, this change stays true to the exotic’s intended “Volatile” role.
Please consider this, Bungie.

Wishender, Arbalest, Rain of Fire boots with Vex. hotel trivago

Have you tried using a weapon with anti barrier? That will stun anti barrier champions. There’s videos online if you need assistance. Keep it up buddy, you’ll figure this stuff out 👍🏻

Timer ist a bit too long, consider inks cooldown is like, a second, but this is a really cool idea

Whishender?

Rain of Fire boots with Vex Mythoclast works great

Make a solar melee build with Claws of the Ahamkara, or a Volatile Rounds build with Void, Unraveling Round build on Strand also work, though I prefer Solar best given it doesn't require a kill or matching burns. I find that High Impact Fusion Rifles are the best Anti-Barrier weapon. If you use a Chill Clip Aurvandil you can double up with Overload. While Radiant is active Chill Clip won't actually stun an Overload, but it will prevent health regen which is a huge boon unto itself

Edited by Tigerpaws: 12/16/2023 11:42:19 AMIve just been using vex myth and those boots that make you radiant with fusion kills. While radiant, fusions are anti barrier and vex secondary fire 2taps champs
