With changes happening to weapons so often and the difficulty of capturing specific weapons perks I do not want to delete my weapons. Yet every day I have to delete, move, manage, everything. It makes it a constant chore just because we can’t have extra vault space. Why not! What is wrong with holding onto my accomplishments?! I spend too much time dealing with this everyday and yes I do delete things. Problem is new weapons come out so fast and I need time to decide on what I like and don’t like.
Don’t always have a chance to try them considering I am driven to use certain weapons for champions.

1 ReplyWe should just be able to keep unlocking perks that we can just switch on the fly on the same weapon. It could still cost mats and such but, this would eliminate the need to have multiples of the same weapon at least.

Edited by Detective Salsa: 12/25/2023 2:34:46 AMBungie intentionally does this. They want you to delete -blam!- so you have to spend more time in game farming when said weapons become meta so they can brag about hours spent in destiny. Trash dev company

I'm sitting at 540 right now. I'm a veteran, so my vault contains weapons from Forsaken and upwards (you can reacquire year 1 weapons). I also have old sunset materials and tokens as well (sentimental stuff). If we don't get more vault space, I wont buy final shape. I wont have any room for the new stuff anyways.
-
I'm not sure I'm going to buy final shape either without more vault space.. ppl can say what they want but its a looter shooter and there is nothing wrong with playing the game this way.. I know people don't feel the same way and will criticize and that's fine I understand..but not everyone is the same and ppl play the game differently. More vault space is a win-win situation. I'm coming up on 6k hours in the game, and my favorite thing while playing the content is farming and getting god rolls. I don't hoard -blam!- rolls, I know whats good and bad in both PVP and PVE and I play all 3 characters. You're game needs more space bungie, find a way.. please. idk how much longer i can keep playing the game 600/600. hate me all you want this is the enjoyment and the fulfillment i get from destiny 2 :\

We have a Collections why not just get rid of Vault and allow us to Store our weapons in said Collections. Go to any weapon it will say cannot Reacquire due to randomized rolls, well let us Store Our Desired Roll that we have collected. This would alleviate any and every itemization issue that has existed in destiny. Would not need Dim would not need Little Light or any app that we use to transfer stuff. This would allow us to just pull any of our weapons we attained with desired roll of our choosing that we had stored and collected. Crafted weapons also take up alot of space so it would be the same for that also, if we craft it with the desired roll allow storage of said craftable weapon into Collections. This idea would get rid of the vault, allowing us to just go into Collections and pull any weapon we would need at the time it was needed. Same goes for Exotic Armor with our desired stats, allow us to store in said armor slot with our already collected stats and masterwork. We store it into Collections and pull what we have stored for whatever exotic armor we have masterworked into the collections for when we need it or want to test out a new build. This would bring a much needed quality of life improvement to Destiny and I am certain every Guardian would be excited for this to be implemented just like the Vault from anywhere idea. We can already Collections from anywhere, it already exists let us do it. This way they will never need to worry about adding vault space and could remove it entirely since we would no longer need it.

2 RepliesBeing completely honest, we dont need more space. What we need is a better method of sorting out the vault. -Better Sorting options -Ability to search for specific key traits (weapon, archetype, element, etc.) Everytime I open the vault, all I see is a fustercluck of.....stuff. If we could organize it better, it would make parsing through the stuff miles easier.

3 RepliesThe ‘Vault Space Needed’ Issues come up every few weeks; it’s been the same since way back. Here’s my take (again)… 1. Add vault space as an option…for glimmer / <other>…though NOT for ‘Silver’. 👈 2. Those that want it will be delighted; those that don’t, won’t be triggered! (🤬) Everyone wins! ✅✅ The Problems that fuel this issue, include… A. New gear / weapons that flood one’s inbox B. Crafting new weapons means either burning the handful of deep sight boons or farming for red borders that are at the mercy of RNG - really no good C. Losing old favourites with high kill counts; and having to spend valuable resources to get base rolls D. Reskins of old favourites that we burned to make space only to farm them again - usually lesser versions, too; though in some cases - with new / better stats E. Burn this epic weapon only to get an inferior version downstream F. Losing old classics - recluse / mountaintop / Revoker / Trust / Thorn (D1)…….grrrrrrr! 😡 I’m not burning my Luna / NF - I’m just not! 😤 G. Etc… Caveat: yep, I remember my vault from way back - it’s still full to the brim of old classics 😎; and I fully understand that the antiquated steam engine running Destiny is on its last legs - so, technical issues might be the reason why things are the way they are…which means, nothing will / can change. QED 🤔 I’m just glad we’ve got the space that we have; though more would be very nice indeed! 😁 Dear Guardian Santa…☃️❄️🎅❄️☃️ Play fair! Play nice! 👈 Ease springs! 🫡

2 RepliesProblem with deleting is that you don't know what you might need in future. Deleted a bunch of sidearms? Too bad because you need them this season. Weren't using pulse rifles that much? Now you wish you had kept them. Ridiculous that they put out so many different weapons and then blame us because we want to keep a few.
-
There's no way in hell you 600 weapons.
-
13 RepliesYou'll only get original responses here like "stop hoarding" from people that barely play and have like 8 remarkable weapons. It's fruitless. Bungie claims they can't anyway due to tech limitations, so don't hold your breath.
-
They should just put all the perks on the gun and we play with it to unlock it like in D1. As of right now I look in my vault and if something is power level 1600 I obviously do not use it so I delete it. After I craft a weapon I delete the non crafted versions if I have any.
-
I said back when Bungie increases our vault space that it would result in players who have a hoarding problem to constantly demand more vault space
-
3 RepliesWe need less vault space. 30 should be enough for everything.
-
1 ReplyI say reduce vault space. But rework collections. Take fully MW item > open collections > custom curate item Make it track stats of weapons pull for free Custom Curate item cost X mats I’d like something like this tbh. It creates a grind for mats and gives us a proper collections unique to us. If possible it be so much better for the game. It also be nice if legacy gear was in proper rotation so collection hunters could acquire them.

1 ReplyI think its also worth adding that not only weapons but armor as well. I have a decent amount of high stat armor in the vault that I keep for various builds. And like you said, things are ALWAYS changing. If I have something that I hoarded from seasons ago and it wasn't the greatest but then something gets buffed and it's suddenly a must have? Then guess my hoarding paid off, but otherwise what? I'm supposed to wait for bungie to reissue it? Or for banshee to have it? Seems like more hamster wheel I already don't wanna be on. If anything i think collections, the vault and the enclave should all be the same storage space provided you've obtained/crafted those weapons or perks.

You dont need all these guns even if you somehow have 200 armor pieces and 50 slots taken of consumables that leaves you 250 weapons slots you are somehow using up despite never using even 50% of it Edit: Gotta love when someone calls you a “part-time” player when you’ve played since Day 1 and have a easy to check raid report lol

How much of that gear do you regularly use? Most of this game only needs the same handful of weapons which dont tend to change between seasons. PvE meta hasnt changed enough to warrant a complete gear change since sunsetting. Everything prior to lightfall is still the meta and most of what comes out now isnt better than what we already had. Theres no point holding in to sunset gear (i know you will have some) regardless of sentiment. Its not like people can see your vault anyway so keeping things to show off is pointless, collections exist for a reason. Anyone complaining about vault space is stupid given 500 was more than enough. 300 is more than enough given how much gear you or any player will actually use.

2 RepliesAll my gear that I actually make use of could fit into a Destiny 1 sized vault with room to spare. I say shrink the vault space.

Funny you mentioned this. I just scrapped maybe 100 guns today. Some tough choices were made, but I’ve never so free.
