Mayhem for PVE
Bungie I think it would be cool to have a separate node where you could use all Exotic armor, and weapons and slay out on a strike for fun. It could have Hero to Grandmaster level too. Just a thought.

It was called daybreak in D1. However, the effects in D1 were less of a load on your GPU. Guaranteed it would be impossible to get through anything without crashing or dropping to 5fps. Especially when combining exotics.

This games code could not handle 15 exotic pieces of armor in one strike lmao.

Lol, imagine Bungie intentionally breaking their strict cookie cutter mold of "it's either balanced or difficult" Vanguard Ops already feel awful if you're in a full matchmade party with even semi-competent guardians, and the rewards aren't really worth grinding for, so why not just let them go crazy from time to time? It'll be like changing from an axe to a chainsaw to cut your bread, both are overkill, but chainsaws are often more fun than axes.

That would be awesome. I always thought it would be cool to have a pvp mode like mayhem where you could equip multiple exotics. Back in D1 I always wanted to use TLW and Plan C together.

4 RepliesWe used to have mayhem strikes in D1 I think, or something very similar, was many years ago now. Funny thing is, we're still running the same strikes 10 years later lol

They kinda did at one point. Skull of Dire Ahamkara pretty much refunded the entire super. So did Orpheus rigs and shards of galanor. Titan arc juggernaut could be dragged on for minutes as well. Then the revelry event gave pretty much infinite grenade energy so you could run strikes without using guns at all. Those were good times. But people hate joy so that all had to go away. (Though the two hunter exotics are still somewhat useful.)

Sounds cool but game engine can only handle so many buffs at once before it starts breaking. At most you could fit probably 1 more exotic on a character and anymore would probably start bugging out. Maybe a daybreak modifier that is available occasionally for a week on Nightfalls besides GM difficulty would be better. Thought I believe daybreak was added in AoT which was only probably added because it was the last update to D1.

3 RepliesLike just equip exotics in all slots and slay out? I'd do it. I feel no exotic equipment limitations in general would be great for this game, but I'd totally settle on a designated mode for it.
