Its been what a week and half? Why would you need to reset his rank already?
Or did you do exactly what bungie time gated the weapons for? So you sped through the content available and maxxed out the vendor and now complaining "theres no point". last i checked, theres still 8 weapons that havent even been released. So....

If they want high playtime, make quality content. Otherwise ppl will blow through it, get their -blam!-, then go play something better. Time gating is self admitence to lack of effort and investment.
