Another detail. At the moment I still have energy and desire for the activity, but in about 2 weeks or so, I probably won't have any more, will Bungie force me and suck all my energy just to get what I want?... It ends up leading the player to exhaustion from the game, it seems like a shot in the foot

  • TL;DR at the bottom cause ik these forums hate reading more than anything else. "Will Bungie force me"- No. No, they won't. Bungie will set the rules and systems they want to set, and you will either play the game or you won't, and it makes no difference at all to them. Nobody at Bungie is forcing you to do anything. You choose to boot up the game, you choose to load into the activities, you choose to work towards the weapons. FOMO doesn't exist unless you allow it to, because at the end of the day if you're "forced" to do something you don't want to do, YOU forced yourself to do it. "But they're forcing me to play this for an ungodly amount of time to get the weapon I want, so-" No they aren't. If you want something, the lengths you are willing to go to get it are directly proportional to how badly you want it, they are not the result of someone else "forcing" you to do it. Take responsibility for your own actions. If you decide to play 900 hours of Trials for a god roll Trials-exclusive gun, Bungie did not force you to do that, you simply decided 900 hours of Trials was worth it for that gun. If you decide to run the same raid 1,000 times because you want a god roll raid-exclusive gun, Bungie did not force you to do that, you simply decided 1,000 clears was worth it for that gun. TL;DR: Nobody is forcing you to do anything, the effort you put into getting something is 100% your decision, and doing so means you decided the "something" you wanted was worth that effort. If you didn't think it was worth it, you wouldn't do it, so stop blaming Bungie for your decisions.

  • I'm not writing a process, the forcing is not in the literal sense... for the love of God

  • Can't blame me for taking it literally. Half the people on here genuinely believe Bungie is bullying them into doing things they don't want to do. If you don't wanna do something, don't do it. If you do it, the reward must be worth it to you, so don't complain so much.

  • Complaining is not as horrible as you think. If you don't complain, don't criticize, you'll live in the same situation forever. And in the game people pay, so it's fair for them to complain and ask for improvements. This thing about "if you want then play and if you don't want then don't play" also, if you want to do things like this, it's your life, I paid for the game and the content, practically I and other players finance Bungie in this way , and as a thinking person I don't see the logic in an exclusive weapon, especially because a skin is so difficult to drop, and you still have a time limit, that's it, there's no need for drama or exaggeration, it's an opinion and a request to make life a little easier for players, after all, it's a skin... By the way, if your opinion is based on me not playing because I'm not satisfied, if you don't like complaints, don't look at the forum lol

  • It's more a matter of there being too many people on here that genuinely believe Bungie is forcing them to do things. They play this game as if it's a job, as if not playing it will cause them to suffer real life consequences. So when many say "Bungie forces us to do X" they mean it sincerely. Criticism is 100% valid, always. But this is how Bungie operates: Time gates, exclusives that aren't really exclusive (seriously, name ONE thing that never came back and is 100% impossible to obtain now in any form), etc... At the end of the day, this is how they work, and players have been complaining about it for years. They're not going to change: the same people saying "stop doing this!" are the same people feeding into it by still doing what's asked of them. So their criticism invalidates itself; if it were truly a problem to them, why would they do it anyway? I personally don't believe that, I think having issue with something and participating anyway fall under two separate reasonings. But from a business standpoint, saying "I hate this!" as you continue to choose to do it will only serve to tell the analysts at Bungie that what they're doing is working. They don't care about user feedback, only user stats, and someone who has 10,000 clears of an activity but screams at the top of their lungs how much they hate that activity will only be seen as "Wow, they did it 10k times! They love it!" As for not looking at the forum, well, earlier I saw this really neat post where someone was coming up with exotics based on commenter's usernames, and like, to me, posts like this are just the price paid for finding posts like that, and it's worth it to me.

  • Do yourself a favor and stop going for shinies. They're gonna cause burnout. I'm just getting a normal weapon with the best roll I can possibly get. I was hoping for firefly one for all for midnight coup, but i've settled on an explosive payload kinetic tremors (I know they don't interact). Farming for shinies is a guaranteed way to get burnt out on this activity because first you need them to drop, then you need to pray that they actually drop the perks you want. Even when I get a shiny with somewhat decent perks, they're never the perks I actually wanted. So yeah, I recommend doing what i'm doing and just playing when you feel like playing and grabbing normal variants. The shinies really aren't worth burning yourself out.

  • Yes, I know that, thanks for the tip, but because I like the game I can't go without complaining. The question of whether the exclusive skin is important will really depend on each person. For example, I think it's very important to give exclusivity to the player who played the event, but Bungie doesn't seem to want to use its head. They lose players directly, and for nonsense like this. It's just a skin and a "bonus" of having 2 perks to exchange if you want, there's no reason to make the player's life so difficult in getting something the way he wants, he's already playing your game and you're just making his life. harder lol. But thanks for the comment!

  • It's strange decision making that not only are the shinies extremely low droprate, they're also limited time only. These 2 things are a bad combo. Grind is fine imo, but add fomo to it and it's bad. That's why I stopped caring, they messed up the execution of this because they basically just want a way to incentivize people to play before final shape. Not a fan

  • Honestly agree. I've been getting sick of this game's trash rng. Almost as bad as stuff like Genshin, but at least that has a pity system. Some players haven't got raid or dungeon exotics for over 80 runs now even with drop rate increasers. Along with most of them not even feeling powerful and Bungie refusing to give noticable buffs to stuff, it just doesn't feel worth the grind.

  • Worse thing though in my opinion is Pantheon only being around until June 4 where you get to CHOOSE a raid Exotic from any of the 5 raids you encounter in Pantheon after the run. This will be good for RNG protection (if the exotic choosing is true) but it's hard but it's better then spending hours upon hours to get the damn guns from normal completions of the raids.

  • I haven't even been able to do a raid since Forsaken honestly. I know some people are going to be like just use fireteam finder, but I prefer to play with people I know honestly and most of them aren't on at a good time these days. Doesn't help with work also getting in the way on inconsistancy of everyone being available at a good time.
