Going to force a lot of peeps to rush the campaign, literally wasting all the time and effort Bungie devs put into it. Why even have new content then? why not release raid day 1, kind of a waste of effort.

The campaign and it's story itself cannot continue until after the raid is completed is why

They also know a good portion of there player base is casual and don't do raids. I'd assume they put the raid date when they did to appeal to the hard core grinders.

Exactly the opposite

Opposite of what?

They did it so that all the content would get unlocked for everyone... as soon as possible. Meaning, the normal raid... and post raid expansion content and Episode 1. Quoted from Catarina Macedo the project lead: [i]"The Final Shape expansion is different: the additional content in the Pale Heart post-campaign and unlocking the raid for everyone is important for getting a cohesive and satisfying story experience". Kinda hard to keep up on info like that when it's hardly posted here......unless they did then which I take back what I said.

It's not forcing anyone to rush anything. Play the content at the pace you want, then play the raid when you're done. The only one stressing you out is you, the only one forcing you to rush is you.

I thought the same thing.. then I thought, what if the campaign is terrible and they know it but, the raid and other things they have prepared, like the new super etc are more engaging so they want us to consume the campaign quickly.
