• Its actually true. Its not just about iran. It happend to brazil too. Ive looked it up and there many posts about that back in time. Theres a pattern to these. We tried at some point. We didnt get answers. We left the game and many never talked about it in forums. Its happening right now..

 •
It happend to brazil too.
yup.. and it was found to be an issue with the country's infrastructure. Just like yours, difference is Brazil handled their business, while your ISPs do not want to

 • Even if what this person says is true (which is probably not because of all the reasons I mentioned in the post itself), the least bungie can do is to help us locate the exact problem so we can actually do something about it when we contact our ISPs. I don't think they know how a random game's authentication works and many other things about destiny 2 servers so we get nowhere just talking to them and it throws us into a loop. This is what a game's support is for in the first place. Also keep in mind that for some weird reason, some people who have nothing to do with the problem tend to underplay the issues it is causing and it's best to just ignore them.

 •
the least bungie can do is to help us locate the exact problem so we can actually do something about it when we contact our ISPs.
Bungie has no obligation to dianose network issues outside of their control.
This is what a game's support is for in the first place.
Game support is to support the game itself, code and servers. Their servers are up, as millions of players not in your region are able to connect and play, their code is..well working as well as it has. When a connection issue is regional, as in impacted only those within a specific area, the issue is most likely a regional problem, not a game problem.
I don't think they know how a random game's authentication works and many other things about destiny 2 servers so we get nowhere just talking to them and it throws us into a loop
Destiny 2 uses ports that are very common to VOIP communications, it is not uncommon for these ports to be restricted or blocked by governments or ISPs looking to either limit communications, bandwidth, or use them for their own voip services. If you doubt the Brazil situation, look at the posts, most of the players who were impacted even had their isp confirm the issue and sometime between now and then it was fixed and they are now playing again. Bungie is not in the business of infrastructure repairs or troubleshooting, you pay your ISP for that.

 • The first thing we ever think about when something gets blocked like this is the government blocking it for us. We have our ways of getting around it in every sitation and we make sure to check everything before contacting the game support. If you still insist that's the problem and "we should contact ISP" you clearly are not following and I'm not going to argue with you on that.

 • if you are still blaming bungie for a regional, country specific issue, then you are not following.

 • This is such a weird issue because we have almost no problem in any other video game and this issue happend exactly at "into the light" update. And neither our ISP or bungie taking responsibilities for this matter.

 • I haven't seen any Iranian players on discord or anywhere be able to login. Just because you don't see the problem doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
