Completely ridiculous. The cherry on top of the mismanagement cake. These guns will all be useless. They will of course introduce more powerful versions with better perks that people will chase. When you act in a manner that is disingenuous in regards to your customers, it infects your entire organization. Integrity is immensely important in business. Companies can fool themselves in the short term and grab some easy money, but they will lose much more money in the long run. When you get stuck or take a wrong turn while traveling it is usually due to lack of attention or focus. That is when you use the reverse gear. Edit: To clarify, I was not against the idea of sunsetting per se, Bungie announcing a hard deadline to sunset gear was beyond stupid imo. You simply powercreep the guns and make the players delete them. Then you bring new versions back and everyone is happy. When you program an addictive loop into a game it also impacts management. I think this is a prime example.
