The enemies on the Normal difficulty of Zero Hour are identical to the ones in Legend, meaning they are insanely difficult to defeat, even if you are way above the recommended power level. Without running "Meta" gear, the mission is not only impossible, but incredibly frustrating to go through.
"Skill issue" me all you want, but newer or even somewhat skilled players stand zero chance at this mission, even on Normal.

The timer is so cheap of bungie in legend mode. heck is this mission for the speed runners? cause 20 minutes of platforming and maze crawling is BS bungie . I make it the room with the electric shock machine and like a couple minutes left. what kind of horse shitb is this nonsense you guys at bungie are shoveling . This is proof you don't care about new players or continuing this game after the FS.

Edited by x-MISANTHROPIC-x: 5/17/2024 2:06:56 PMHere's what to do. Hit up, LFG. Search for "speed run." Join and focus on staying alive and keeping up with the other two. They will know the route, stick with them, and you'll get it done.

Edited by NerfPaladins06: 5/16/2024 4:15:25 AMI'm confused. Enemies were melting when shooting em with BXR and this season's fusion. Even the mismatched element shields on shanks. Even on legendary. What alternate universe are you guys from where these enemies are tanky af?
-
The enemies are not an issue for me. I soloed the normal Zero Hour, and if I can do it, so can everyone. But to give you HALF the time on Legend level to kill EVERYTHING before you can move on, move levers, weird jumps with enemies shooting at you, and then reach the floor puzzle which changes regularly, finally get to the boss, getting close to killing him, just to be confronted with two Fallen Walkers AND a Brig....It's a bit much thrown at you for the limited time. Thirty minutes would've been just fine.

i just ran through the mission 2 man without even trying for the first time since the original week the ship came out. it’s not really that hard.
-
This is how it was originally designed and, moreover, you had match game in the original mission. Now there is no match game, but boss-brig. And as in the past, Legend difficulty (Heroic in the past) differs from normal only in jumping puzzle. I did this mission several times today, including solo flawless. Every run but first was 30 minutes. Boss took ~20 minutes. Given that I was solo, with a decent team you can easily do this mission sub 15 minutes for the triumph. Unfortunately, solo flawless triumph is bugged and registers only on Legend. I did Legend too, but when I came to boss I have 3 minutes left. Gonna practice more. All in all, just practice and eventually you will able to beat this mission on both difficulties.

Moka my experience from playing as long as I have since 2014 is players will always say it's a skill issue when they don't want to face the music. When they don't want to realize the truth of something being flawed because they're scared if they face the music it's gonna crush their perfect universe. I saw players like that all over division 2 back when division 2 was completely unbalanced to a point where players couldn't even solo a raid with the best build available! Eventually the game got balanced after 2 years. I can tell you one thing the players in division 2 they are more sweaty and competitive than destiny 2 players, and they even said that you can't always have Bullets until sometimes you gotta have fun with it.

I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind the decisions lately. Can the mission be done by meta loadouts, staying in the back and plinking enemies? Yes. Is that fun? HELL NO! For fs sake - there is a LEGEND version for that! Why make normal so hard that we must use boring loadouts? Can they not understand that some people simply play for fun? Have they completely forgotten about the fun factor? What is going on with people at Bungie. They intend to ruin their own product.
-
I really don’t have a problem with difficulty issue (It is an issue). I just wish there was a little more time on the legend mode. It’s going to cause frustration and players leaving. And to be transparent, I was trying to solo it. Why? I think as you continue to get better at soloing a mission like this, it makes you so much more better when you play with a team. I’m not worried about beating it, I just want to get a good feel for the jumps, but that damn timer is too short imo.

I know what you mean. Zero Hour definitely felt bugged. I Just completed it and it was annoying on how beefy the enemies were. That last boss was ridiculous with the one shots. and the constant spam of missiles. Plus the traps plus the snipers and on normal difficulty ?? Cmon now Bungie. I do not know what is their obsession with making bosses with a billion health and making these missions impossible. How are new players going to be a part of this community with difficult content like this? You just expect them to run strikes all day long? Cmon now this is out of hand already. Catering to the Saltagreppos and Dattos of the community. Total nonsense. Bungie does not care to make the solo experience enjoyable anymore. Can’t run a dungeon solo or an exotic mission solo anymore. How are new lights supposed to get into this game?

Edited by hoaxone: 5/15/2024 8:56:31 PMEven a very popular streamer has said the normal mode is set to legendary

Edited by Belga: 5/15/2024 7:15:54 PMMaking hard content is good and all, but making hard and BORING content does nothing good for the game. I don't get how they learned nothing from the community . Making fun content regardless of difficulty is way more important and brings back way more players than this endless seeking of a perfect balance that will never come and doesn't matter.

Edited by Oinkthebaconking: 5/15/2024 11:03:36 PMI honestly forgot how boring and overtuned this mission was. I mean, you might as well just run major mods on everything. No heavy ammo drops regardless of your armor mods... So that's just yet more b.s. It's Destiny at it's worst. Creeping through vents and endless corridors and every single room has red herrings and architect deaths. Every single person that helped make this mission is a buffoon.
-
How are you supposed to beat that boss solo? I had almost 15 minutes and they put a whole giant brig at the end?
-
Did it the first time on legend with two other players. They ran normal first and were shocked how easy it was. Finished boss with 20 seconds left. Bungie needs to emergency tune the game mode. Get rid of the servitor behind the Fallen mech boss. Cannot hit it. Now speaking to Sony leadership: drive and improve player engagement by lowering the difficulty (number of ads) in the boss room so better players can help new lights earn a weapon in prep for the final shape.
-
Yeah the one thing people aren't thinking about is the fact that when enemy is sword that means you're 20 levels below that recommended!! I'm 1810 and on normal it shows the enemies are sword.. Clearly there's a bug in 0 hour think about whisper normal it's 1810 the enemies are regular!!!

I believe that for most, especially new players or casuals, the timer is what players hate, at least the ones I spoke to or come across when they voiced their opinion. I really never liked timed activities. Only because some areas look nice, and it looks like the art team put work into the map, and for you to just rush through it. And players wonder why there's so many speed running players in every activity. Bungie is the one that makes it like that. I just hope they steer away from timers, and least for exotic quests/missions. Let us enjoy every bit of it.
-
My gast was flabbered when the Brig's weird airstrike attack (idk it has two different ones? It's weird) just straight up one-shot me. 100 resilience, strand titan. All I could think was, "I'm tired, boss..."
-
Many are honestly missing the point We are not talking about an endgame mission NOW, it was when it came out but today it must be seen as an event, something that is proposed again to be tried by everyone, both solo players and people who have a team The fact that the enemies really hurt so much and have so much HP even in Normal cuts off a segment of players that doesn't make much sense, all for a weapon that they probably already have because it has been made purchasable over the years And also in the majority of cases of people who are not Terminators with a Ghost, you also force them on Normal to always want to use the same builds, the same weapons to maximize their chances of success For me it doesn't make sense that it's like this, which is different in Legend where it's justified an high level difficulty And really, it's not a skill issue. It's simply letting everyone have fun in what is perhaps the MOST ICONIC mission of Destiny 2, being able to let everyone try it, making it a journey into the epic nature of that time after so many years
-
Don't worry about the ppl who say skill issue because they clearly haven't done it at all or some other nonsense. I for one will gladly admit I suck at the game now but back when the mission first dropped I solo beat the legend version for the catalyst and I get the enemies in general are stronger now than back then since we're stronger but yeah it wasn't anything like this. Now I'm sitting here with 100 resilience, triple arc resistance and they're doing damage of that of a GM enemy. Even at 1830 and I don't think the mission lowers power at least it doesn't say so yes I wouldn't be surprised if the mission is bugged or something. At final boss I would instantly be killed by the marker he places down, not even the missle just the marker and like I said sometimes I would just die immediately and let's not mention the vandals the fact that I actually got shot through a wall or what looked like it. They're even beating banner of war x4 with 100 resilience and ofc three arc resistance so yes once again they gotta be bugged or something. Either way like I said whether they're right or wrong don't listen to the elitist talking trash.

this crap from. bungo just keeps getting worse. what's with timer o n this BS . nobody likes timers but here comes bungo hey let's add more crap they won't like. make you fly through and not even enjoy it.they must all be hoped up at bungie or something . takeep something fun and turn it into a trash can . and yes the ads seem the same on legend so they screwed that up also. and paired the switches and it didn't work .bungie should throw in the towel to save embarrassment.
-
Definitely a “skill issue.” The slightest trace of difficulty and the casual players lose their minds. 😂
-
No the normal enemies are in legend not the other way.

Edited by A_mo: 5/15/2024 5:03:02 PMI got very very lost because I couldn't remember to go under the plane. Other than that, who's laughing about the full vault now? Choices, choices, choices. Is the last boss really hard? Because I got so lost that time ran out right after I did the trevor part. So far it definitely seems doable solo. Might take me more than one more try, but the weapons we have now can definitely deal with the enemies I ran into, unless the boss is super hard or something.

After completing the legend one with a minute left on the timer here are some tips: - 3x outbreak with catalyst (old one) melts bosses. Bonus pulse damage. - each person should use a different element secondary. - polaris lance (if not 3x outbreak) melts bosses + autofire and autoreload with bonus damage shot. - one person with hardlight at the boss can destroy all shields and focus ads. -healing nades and invis/overshield are ideal. Yeah, you have to play it sweaty. But it is endgame. Guides are out there. Goodluck.
