Destiny 2 companion app processing databases

I've been a player since Destiny 1 beta. I've used the companion app since it was released. For about 2 to 3 weeks now, when I try to use the app, it says "processing databases". The app is completely unusable now. I've tried clearing the cache, clearing the data, deleting the app completely, and re-downloading. Still the same. Has anyone found a fix for this? Any suggestions? I've also tried to email Bungie several times, but every email was rejected stating that I'm not registered in that group and am unable to email them. Any help would be great.
