Soooooo............I'll try to keep this brief: if you have any knowledge of Marvel comics and/or the Spider-Verse I cannot recommend giving this a HARD PASS enough. It's.................there aren't really words.
If you have no previous insights into the characters the movie is allegedly based on, I'd still strongly suggest passing on the movie but perhaps you'll get some enjoyment out of it since you're less likely to dismantle it due to that. Of course, you still might find it *ahem* severely lacking because it simply isn't a well-made movie.
Sony, why do you keep trying?

Marvels gotten so bad DC actually has a chance. Didn't think it was possible.

A new MsheU movie made in the Sony Spiderverse, something about an obscure character from an ancient comic nobody reads anymore. It looked terrible, it had directors with no real experience and it had the camera shake used to cover poor choreography like an old Jason Bourne movie, but stupider somehow. Critical Drinker did a great review for it on Youtube, I watch his reviews for satirical laughs and to see if Hollywood can make some good movies these days, hint, they can't...hahahaha...

Edited by Sumpig-2: 5/18/2024 8:18:31 AMLiterally same director(s?) or writer(s?) as Morbius.
But as a theater worker, it was neat having at least one movie reliably empty-ish
Uh-huh, really, really bad. Nothing ruins a special effect more than watching a preview of it - and then watching it again. The three 25 year old teenagers were brats that needed a good smack. The checkout guy at the quick stop is more evil than the villain in this thing. And Pepsi just lost a customer because I hate giant, over-the-top promos in movies. I mean a 50' tall neon Pepsi sign? Really!?

This sounds just like the guy who was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders just before she died would say!

What I heard the movie wasn't really based on the comics. I'll watch it one day but I won't pay to see it.

I didn’t watch it but my parents (who have no knowledge whatsoever about the spider-verse or marvel) thought that it was the stupidest movie ever and my mom spent 20 minutes telling me how bad it was.
