The Lament nerf feels unnecessary

I really need to see what sources they're pulling from where they feel that Lament gives too much healing and does too much damage. If their policy for guns is the further you are the less damage you do (like the dmg of scouts vs. side arms) why are swords some of the worst weapons for dps and they feel the need to bring lament in line with that? The tracking on the sword is already incredibly inconsistent and often you will just miss your target with the final combo hit. To me this is only going to force people to feel like they have to use Banner of War even more than it's already getting used. The healing nerf feels pointless too compared to what Stronghold and Banner of War or Restoration in general. In high end content, where sword are already discouraged because it's dumb to get that close to enemies, the amount lament's healing gives currently is not going to save you from constant fire enemy fire or 2-3 shots from a boss

  • Totally unnecessary. I'd rather see sword flying and eager edge nerfed . All that's more game breaking than Lament, Div, Osteo etc.

  • It was unnecessary. Saltagreppo used it to get day 1 Crota and deemed it too good, so now it's going to be nerfed ahead of the next day 1 so more people watch saltagreppo instead of actually doing the raid.

      They admitted a long time ago back during Reckonings day they don’t like us being too strong because they have to do more work. If we are too strong for their cookie cutter encounter designs, they nerf us. So it’s data driven but not in the way you’d expect.

We have to play the game knowing that death is very pleasing to Bungie.

      • And I had so much fun with it in Onslaught. See you my beloved! Even with the Titan exotic gloves you may not be the same. I had a special build just for you. Oh well. I came back after one year and nothing changes. Ha!

      • The reasoning is insane lol Legendary swords alredy do more dmg than Lament, but Lament heals, so we will take the healing away... and btw, we will also nerf the dmg by insane % cause F that weapon.
