During your first six completions of the [b]Alone in the Dark[/b] Quests it will cycle through all six Cysts in order: Sword Dance, Searing Light, Aerial Ace, Moth-Infested Cavern, Slayer Trial and finally Smothering Darkness. After these first six completions you can launch any of the six Cysts at your discretion [b]without[/b] acquiring the [b]Alone in the Dark[/b] Quest. This can be done by entering the proper “transition area” from its respective Overthrow zone (ie. enter Refraction from Landing, Seclusion from Blooming and Transgression from Impasse) and following the bird that will then spawn. Within each Overthrow zone near the boundary connecting to its respective “transition area” can be found birds that will allow you to switch between the two Cysts available for that area, enabling you to select the desired Cyst if it is not currently active. Selecting and completing Cysts in this fashion (that is to say, [b]without[/b] an active [b]Alone in the Dark[/b] Quest) will allow you to open the chests necessary for Khvostov, pick up the feathers within or attempt to complete any associated Cyst Triumphs.
