Unlike Fortnite and Call of Duty, Destiny 2 PvP has different modes. Each one of these modes have objectives in order to win and gain some kind of reward. We shall take a look at Control or in this case Iron Banner Control.
Two teams of six will go and capture zones to give their respective team points to reach the goal of 150 or push for mercy. As followed each time a team capture zones and defeat guardians they earns points. Then heavy will appear upon the map and once the smart team figures out that heavy can turn the tide of the match. Thus the calculation would be that the team with the heavy would most likely win.
As the match progresses on the smart team will learn to play as a collective defeating their opponents and capturing zones. Once three zones are locked in play in Iron Banner that is when the losing team will then probably get the mercy rule or continue on until the smart team reaches 150.
Now there are other game modes to consider that have different objectives. However the only two easy modes to ever consider playing is Mayhem and Clash. Basically those are just two Call of Duty modes that don't really have a complex objective like the other ones.
Overall Control is not a very complicated mode to do. Capture zones, defeat guardians, and play heavy. Rinse and repeat and your team will have a 23% chance to defeating the smart team.

They just need to get rid of objective based pvp. Go full clash because no one caps anymore. 5 games of iron banner and 5 times I've been crushed by the other team. I get you can't win every time, but holy f*ck control and Iron banner are demoralizing.

Good luck getting an entire team to follow the rules of Control. lol There’s usually 2 of the 6 that follow the objective. The rest are just pathetic clash minions, tryna keep their kd.
