Just watched the teaser... some reactions. Possible spoilers in my theory. I heard Aztecoss call the Conductor the "original" Witchqueen. If you ever watched the Price is Right, when the bidding rounds happen... if someone bids with a price you think is good, though shady, you just add a dollar to your bid. Where Cross got that idea from? Byf or Myelin, probably. That adds a dollar to my theory. I predicted all of this, including that the narrative would place in opposition the Conductor vs. the Gardener. Where we would be manipulated into believing [spoiler]Maya is evil. She is not. She is corrupted.[/spoiler] The Vex are dying. Remember what we initially thought we knew about the Elikisni? Remember the Amhakara? That tech that shot into the core of Nessus is draining the Radiolaria, that tech came from the Gardener. Vex need Radiolaria to live. The Conductor is creating their House of Light, this is the connection to Mithrax... trying to create an independent order of Vex that doesn't need Radiolaria to survive. In the same way Mithrax led the fallen after they lost the light of the Traveler and were starving to death. Whatever is at the core of Nessus, if we obtain it and use for the will and purpose of the Gardener, that is a mistake. The Vex are doomed. When we first met Osiris in D2 during CoO... we saw the future of Mercury, we saw a definitive "Endless Night" in an instance where Sol, the sun of our galaxy had been extinguished. Drained of its Radiolaria (Mercury)... terraformed into a hellscape we believed, we were told, was created by the malevolent Vex. We also once thought, the Fallen were evil... the Cabal were a monolith of primal invaders. That the Wishdragons were "one note" 🎵. Were they? Why did we think that? What was the secret Mara "whispered" to Brother Vance on Mercury? Why was Mara using Vance, how was she? "Look to the Future" That's the song 🎶. The conductor doesn't create the composition, but she... .... can show us that there is an alternative arrangement to be played. That is her purpose. In opposition. This is the connection to the murals on Neomuna and Esi's Veil Containment logs. Whoever Cross got the idea of the Conductor being the original Witchqueen... is just adding a dollar to my bid. It's smart. However, I predicted this exact mistake lore scholars would make. We're being manipulated. The Conductor is not our ally... but like the Eliknsni, the Cabal, the Amhakara... we're confused on the details. We learned very little about the "good"...
