I'm just messing around in forge, wondering around the maps and I'm getting overwhelmed with nostalgia. I've never had a game impact me the way Halo 3 did. I'm actually getting a little emotional over it. There's so many awesome memories. It sucks that 2007 was so long ago. I'm thinking about all the buddies I used to play with. I didn't keep in touch with most of them. Others just parted ways.
Custom games were awesome, BTB was awesome, the community events were awesome, the community itself was awesome. Imo, this was Bungie at its peak.
I really wish I could get a full Halo 3 lobby going, but it's becoming harder and harder to do these days. There's the custom game browser, but it's not the same. Nobody has mics.

I tried Forge for a while on my Performa 6115CD back then, but it wasn't really powerful enough. I have a G5 sitting on the floor nearby so maybe I'll try it again. Halo 3 was my favorite. Really got into the characters.

I had heard there was a discord server that brought back the og halo servers and all you have to do is join their games because they mod their own Xbox 360’s but haven’t join yet and the few clips I since from a YouTuber who talk about show at least some did use their mics

I remember having 6k+ custom games played.

I was never intrigued by making my own maps, but I spent a LOT of time helping fellow clan mates play test theirs. Especially the guys in Cartis Graphene, or whatever the map making section of players was. A couple of them made it into matchmaking.

I got MCC, I’d be down.

Oh. That feeling of overwhelming nostalgia, taking over your entire body and mind. The fact 2007 is damn near 20 years ago, yet when I think of 2007, I think like 2-3 years ago. I'm glad to experience some great eras.

Don't be sad that those memories are gone. Be happy because you had them!
