Imagine calling somebody on their phone for an actual serious conversation, while they’re standing five feet away from you.
Does this not strike anybody at Bungie as ridiculous?
-
Leave Eido alone. She has serious social anxiety and decided to prerecorde a message for us rather than nervously blurt out things.
-
Are you serious? Have you seen who works at Bungie?
-
What you expect. These guys are a bunch of morons. The real talent was used for a baseline then fired to save cash that they just wasted on bullshit projects that mean nothing. What a shitshow
-
I was doing act 2 today, and I was blown away how many times I had to run back and forth around that stupid room. Talk to eido, talk to mithrax, talk to eido on a projector, perform a jail break 5 feet away from the people you’re hiding it from. Just very weird
-
Well, obviously it's so that nobody knows she's talking to you. Like spies sit back to back on Paul benches while talking to no-one. Very covert.
-
That’s hilarious lol
-
I like listening in to conversations while I have nothing to do with it like a weirdo creepin.
-
Written by millenials who think it's normal to bury their heads in a smart device to avoid physical interaction.
-
Maybe she gets shy and can't handle talking to the godslayer in person sometimes It would be like a normal human talking to Zeus, Thor or Superman , some things you would feel safer texting lol
-
Smh. What happened to the good old days of people taking five steps over to you and talking face to face?
-
Like that scene from the office where Steve Carell and Will Ferrell were talking to each other on the phone while they were in the same room.
-
Apparently this has been brought up before. But they said there's some weird technical limitations that force them to do this.
-
The immersion is impeccable
-
You think they have such thought crossing their mind?
-
hahahahahahaha, what a joke! For Bungie everything serves as a filler, even if that means creating the most absurd, non sensical, situation.
-
Bungie never learns, they'd rather use the holo for everything than outright liveaction it via the "vendor" Bet Destiny Rising doesn't have this issue though, for a mobile game
-
Hahah. Yea, was just doing that and thought WTF, she's standing right next to me. Kinda like the kids I see on dates these days talking to each other on their phones when they're RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. I guess we know who's writing these stories.

Perhaps they don’t like face to face speaking -
Thought the same. The joke is when you have to talk to her via holo she is not at her place but reappears after the holo talk. Eido present Talk to her via holo and Eido absent. Eido back. At least it doesn't take much time. Bottom line it's business as usual.
-
It’s a sci-fi game buddy… all concepts are futuristic 🤣
-
I noticed that, until the character speaks to you on the holoprojector, they are actually absent from where they are normally located. I saw it with Eido and Mithrax.
-
Please. They won't even stop weighting pinnacle drops even after getting caught for weighting perks. They put an AM radio as part of every single mission in TFS because they're too lazy to do better. They reskinned Onslaught for this "episode" even though Onslaught is still available in it's original form from a mere couple of months previous. They pushed FoTL back a week because they couldn't figure out how to add a class item on time. They pushed IB back over a month for some unknown reason... Probably just because they "weren't feeling like doing anything". Bungie will never regain a AAA work attitude again.
-
It's because everything was originally designed with weekly timegating and filler activities in between. When they changed everything to drop all act content at once and removed the filler activities, they obviously didn't want to take the time/energy/money to change everything so it would make sense. So now we're stuck with this janky format and other forms of filler/padded-out content like the pinnacle grind and no Engram focusing (d!ck move). Stay classy, Bungie!
-
Sadly, Bungie isn't going to learn anything through this about how ridiculous their storytelling is. All they'll take away from this is that they never should have let us play the entire Act day one.
-
You beat me to it. That almost had to be on purpose. hahahahahaha.
-
Eido is to lazy to walk over to us or shout over the room
