Title says it all. Seems like Bungo hasn't learned from the Duo Destiny nonsense over the summer.
Bungo has no respect for their player base. They acquiesce to streamers and make solos and casuals feel unwelcome.
Great job Bungo! Take a look at your player population because of your very, very poor and short sighted decisions.

This isn’t a solo game

Edited by Guardian,Archon Of Light: 1/18/2025 11:49:36 PMA few co-op missions amongst a giant vault of solo content isn't hate, it's bending over backwards to try to accommodate everyone If they truly hated solo players, matchmaking wouldn't exist, and everything would require atleast 2 players to launch I myself am a solo player, and that's by choice, I have several raid Exotics, I just can't deal with the social anxiety and peer pressure But we are a minority, most people who purchased Final Shape also completed Dual Destiny with no problem, you can't expect them to make everything centered around us , just unrealistic

Just because you don’t doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist.

Most solos would have been happy to run dual destiny (and this latest activity) via matchmaking or lfg, it is the mic requirement that crosses our red line. Cue all the toxic replies on here from the very players that we don't want to hear in our headsets, and before some know-it-all suggests text chat ... don't even go there.
-
I agree that bungie hasnt learned since dual destiny, but not in the way that you probably think. They havent figured out that catering to a small minority that is bullying them into making game design decisions that have absolutely zero integrity isn't gonna fix the fact that this community is filled with children, both literal and of the "grown man" variety, who will complain if the game is not perfectly suited to them specifically. Dual Destiny shouldve been a wake up call to how toxic and pathetic this community has become, but instead, the devs took the brunt of it, and nothing has changed.

Destiny has a off switch,i recommend use it. talking from exp. your life will be better without destiny, atleast in its current state.

I don't think Bungie 'Hates Solo Players' however I do think that they feel appeasing the wishes of content creators is more important than anything else. They seem far more interested in producing 'stream worthy' content involving long periods of mindless, repetitive grind ripe for ad placement or more difficult group content where a content creator can easily call upon an army of paid subscribers willing to -blam!- themselves on their favourite streamer's altar eager for their 15 minutes of fame to make up the numbers if needs be. All that free advertising is worth a lot to Bungie (Activision threw $500 million at them for the marketing budget of D1 alone) and given how much their revenue stream has dropped now, the more they can save, the better for them. So Bungie wins Content creators win The rest of us can just go -blam!- ourselves in whichever manner we please.

Edited by Big Fase: 1/16/2025 1:35:34 AMThis community sks!!! You guys just can't disagree with someone without bashing them insulting them, calling them weirdos!!! Calling people keyboard warriors while you're hiding behind a keyboard... Is this what you want, Bungie....?

I cant even get friends on this game to help with the latest kell fall. sad state.

The population is low because Bungie hasn't done anything innovative since Gambit, let the seasonal model ride way past its expiration date, and take absolute eons to fix anything that doesn't function properly. The world doesn't evolve, they abandoned the core playlists for like 5 years, and cheating is an epidemic in their PVP. Hell, even the reward systems were found out to be broken for the better part of half of this games lifespan. I can assure you that having 2 or 3 missions in the game that can't be soloed has very very little to do with anyone leaving. Lack of innovation, player burnout, and failed promises are at the top.
-
Nah, they hate all players equally.
-
Meh. I'm tired of killing Skolas. Between D1 & D2 I've killed him countless times. Let someone else do it. Especially if the major reward is a ship I got in D1 before his first nerf.

Didn't they give us the class items , and unlock them from Xur, and the Pale Heart , just for farming Candy Bungie goes out of there way to make solo players able to play, just because not everything is matchmade, or simple , doesn't mean they hate us I am a solo player, but I know I play a multiplayer game, I am going to miss out on some things, and that's my decision, not Bungies
-
Because they completely ignored the fact the best exotic mission in the game is still Operation Seraph shield, for revision zero. A mission that isnt a cake walk, but no where near impossible for a solo player. From beginning to full catalyst, I did it solo and had a blast doing so. As did many others. But bungie ignores that and caters to the loud minority. Meanwhile those same small but very loud minority of players, that always cries for nerfs, changes, and harder end game content, are still here attempting to troll. Acting as if exotic missions werent doable solo at one point.
-
Dual Destiny was perfectly done. That's not on Bungie, that's on you weirdos who won't communicate with others.
-
I don't speak for Bungie, but I'M starting to hate so-called "solo" players.
-
No they sure don't! Since Destiny has and always will be primarily a multiplayer game, the solo experience is never going to match that of a dedicated solo game. 🤷♂️
-
Bungie likes one thing and one thing only. Money.
-
Probably a hot take here, but personally I feel that Destiny 2 has progressed to weigh the casual playerbase more than the hardcore. Not saying that the game is made for casuals, but rather changes are made with that demographic in the forefront.
-
Edited by Uldrac Sov: 1/15/2025 10:20:46 PMThey gave us class items without dual destiny didn't they All is forgiven and they can make all the non-matchmade non solo activities they want Has for Kells Vengence MUST HAVE HYLDIAN SEEKER 2 , and I will endure anything to get it
-
99% of the game can be solo'd. It's amazing how they make two missions that require another person and you guys immediately run to the forums to cry & moan saying bungie hates solo players
-
Edited by blood_goblin_: 1/16/2025 4:16:07 AMoh no i have the play with people on a MULTIPLAYER GAME!!!! even if u launch to mission solo its not possible to do it, just load up fireteam finder (no mic if ur really that antisocial) and just get it done for the triumph
-
It is easier than it has ever been to find a fireteam to run something. Most content that isnt raids doesnt even require communication. At this point, it is entirely on you if you are so absurdly dedicated to only running solo that you refuse to play any content that asks for more than one player.
