Couldn't complete expert Rushdown with experienced guardians. Everyone had top tier load outs but failed mechanics like the relic not breaking the boss's shield, enemies one shotting 10 res and AOE damage eviscerating even though player was nowhere near the ariel bombardment splash zone. Challenges are fun but this is just ridiculous. I guess this is the trend for future content.

Yeah. I did it last week. But I think I’ll take a pass on it from here out. Not fun Same thing with Court of Blades It’s for the no life YouTube watching meta load out try hards.

Also to add to the heros that are toxic apologists for Bungie. Just because your solo flawlessed it 100x does not mean its that way for everyone. Remember, there are ever changing buffs and debuffs that are randomly in this game mode. Maybe the 4 you got made it simple, maybe the 4 someone else got made it impossible. Maybe maybe maybe. Simply stating "skill issue" "my team flawlessed it 100x" only is saying "I have no better argument then an arbitrary statement"

Edited by King Cold: 3/15/2025 8:37:32 PM
I guess this is the trend for future content.
Unfortunately yes, started at lightfall & isn't letting up, remove fun & replace with tedium. The new armour changes will be part of it too. Frontiers is gonna suck

Someone at Bungie must be having a laugh, first the GM and now Expert RD. The fun in something challenging is in learning and making progress over time by repeatedly engaging with the activity. If you die at random because there’re ad everywhere firing bazooka, boss that can get you anywhere behind cover, teammates that die upon revive by the time it takes for the f***ing animation to end… it’s neither fun nor challenging, it’s like playing roulette at a casino, hoping to win when you most likely won’t.
-
You forgot to mention dying for no reason and the game saying the cause was “Killed by the architects.”
-
I have 10 resilience and I was dying in one shot by red bar ads and it always says "misadventure"
-
Don't get me started on rewards imagine fighting all those bosses just to get one badly rolled weapon every time that doesn't even have more then 6 rolls on it making it feel you just wasting time. Court of swords feels way more rewarding then rush and it's less tedious
-
I swear, a few times, my character has been standing there and they just drop dead from nothing. No Enemies attacking him, no boobytraps, no evil debuff, no stage-wide countdown reaching zero. They just keeled over and died for no discernible reason with "misadventure" as the reason given.
-
God awful and supposed to be fun. Delusional devs at bungo are out in full swing.
-
Its buggy as hell. Keep dying to random misadventure or splash damage from invisible shots and teleporting ads.
-
I beat it first try, you're just not very good at the game ... don't worry though, it's meaningless, and boring, just like the rest of this game.
-
I just did normal & it was the same thing. The subjugator 1 hit melee kills, other adds kill you in 2-3 shots, it was pretty tough. Got to last mission & it's zero hour, you've 0 rally flag, 0 ammo, & you've got 8 mins, you get longer running the actual dungeon on expert lol. I was with 2 really inexperienced PSN players who died a lot n wasted our revives so I was last alive as the big boss spawned, I'd no anmo & 3 mins so I just left. Idk what they're playing at tbh, tonight zero hour, & the relic boss from lightfall, yesterday wasnt it quiria & then iconoclasm, previous day was the whisper bosses, with timers, revives & like 15 negative modifiers, it's a miserable experience. Gotta be calus 2moro 100%. I'm convinced they're trying to kill this franchise

Edited by Hardcore_Uproar: 3/17/2025 7:15:41 AMTried the Expert mode, about as much fun as practising bleeding. The basic Rushdown is just as boring and just highlights the same gameplay we have been getting over and over and over for years now. Add in Court of Blades to that as well. A timed activity with health gated bosses and the same boring mechanics of "go stand here so all the ads can swarm you" in a room full of constantly spawning ads with massive health, shields and constant teleports. Oh, and lets not forget the Immune Phases. In a timed activity. Basically the standard Bungie fare of massive health gated bosses, masses of constantly respawning ads in a small room and repetitive phases. Oh and of course the obligatory enemy over there that is robotically sniping you again and again. And again. I played the Machinist level of Rushdown earlier and saw that the red bar enemies have massive health, a shield .. and then another shield. Yeah, not doing five levels of that for a weapon which will have at least one perk the same as all the other dross that drops. Apparently the Hunters have won already, so what's the point ?? At least the Nether was something a bit different with the health mechanics. I binned this dross off and played something fun for a bit instead, hardly played all week. Bungie are creatively bankrupt.

The only encounter thats hard is the 4th encounter on expert. The stupid hydra with hands should have NEVER been an encounter .

Edited by CabooseNomerson: 3/16/2025 2:03:00 AMI cannot believe they thought putting Zero Hour into a mode like this WITHOUT FIXING THE INSTANT DEATH BUG was a good idea. It's been broken since they re-added it, and they just never fixed it. The awful rewards for this activity are simply not worth grinding an already extremely difficult and fatally buggy encounter with randoms that don't have builds and have never seen 60% of these bosses before. Not to mention many of them are not in the game anymore or are locked behind paywalls, so free-to-play guardians are forced to learn them on the fly in a time based activity. It just doesn't work and it's not approachable as a free event. I want the nightfalls back.

On Friday the expert difficulty variation of the Rushdown was very easy, but on Saturday it was a real pain in the -blam!-. I haven't tried the Sunday set yet, but I can already say that Bungie have once again shown that they don't know how to set up the difficulty correctly. Hell, they couldn't even tune the Redrix.
-
I think the normal mode is way too hard or should I say this week's version seems to have gotten buffed. Can't tell you the amount of times fireteams I have joined wipe or I'm put into an already busted match with 2 to 3 revives left; sometimes none at all. This isn't fun. Last week it was but it's just way to try hard as it stands.
-
This game has definitely taken a turn for the worse experience we could have possibly had to pay for. I wish I was complaining about how easy everything was but instead I’m left to complain about how everything feels like a second job
-
personally i dont find it all that bad. Sure, some bosses one shot when they stomp you but its been pretty chill. I've only failed one or two times on runs since it came out
-
3 silly incidents in the last few days from this. 1. I once died randomly from 95% full hp. I recorded it and watched it over and over and the only thing I could think of is some weird interaction with the Outbreak Perfected exotic mission boss's laser thing with the red zones. The game acted like I was crushed by it. It even listed "killed by architects." 2 and 3. I've noticed people want to be toxic much more often here. During the same boss as before, my two allies would die with no revives left, leaving me to try and solo the rest. I'd do pretty good, but then I would eventual trip up, as I'm not a super pro. This happened two or three times in a row against the same boss until we ran out of time. One of the players then decided to start trash talking me in the chat. The next time was earlier today. One guy decided to just trash talk the fireteam for no reason. The fireteam deaths were 3/3/5, so not a huge survival discrepancy between us. We literally even finished without a single wipe. I guess these

you literally haven’t even touched rushdown how can u complain 😭😭😭
-
See I don’t understand why people are thinking expert rush down is really that difficult. I’m not trying to sound like an elitist -blam!-, but I have yet to actually have trouble with it on any class.
-
Edited by Murphy: 3/17/2025 1:31:34 PMITs trash...not just due to enemies and mechanics but the fact there is ZERO VALUE in doing it. I have 12k+ hours in the game, ran it with similar level players and best we could do was 12. What did we get for that? Trash, not 1 single person had an adept drop and we farmed it for 8 hours straight yesterday. Also its bs balanced. First 4 portals you can smoke but then it get to the point you have to use a heavy to even kill an add. Add in the bs Taken Captains with shield spam, elemental shields, they can kill you in under 1 second with 10 res and hp like a strike boss on top of 20 of them at once and its just not worth the effort to log in.
-
Yeah the boss orders lately have been so -blam!- lately. The best order was day 1 of the event.
-
i’m sorry but it seems like a skill issue.
