"Helmets Only" Football practice tomorrow
This is my first year playing organized football. I'm playing through the school. I am a Place-Kicker/Punter.
Tomorrow we have a "Helmets Only" Football Practice.
I'm not entirely sure what that means.
Should I wear my girdle and an athletic cup? Or just go in compression shorts and athletic shorts?

You are a kicker, you could show up every day with just a helmet on and you still wouldn't get hit. Now if you were a lineman, it would be different.

It means that you show up naked and give each other helmet. Not sure what's so hard about the concept.

It means no hitting, probably having a game the day after right? Not that you ever get the fun hitting drills as the kicker.

To be honest you should never be in a position that your nuts are going to be receiving a direct impact. I've been hit their only once and it wasn't the worst hit in my life.

It means that you are going to have a light practice or low contact practice. My high school team used to practice wearing only half our pads the days before games. As for the cup, no one ever wore one on my high school team, but the choice is up to you.

Source: I played varsity through out my high school career. Starting defensive end, back up 3rd string tight end, on kick off team.

Helmets only usually is just non contact drills. If you're a kicker/punter ONLY, then it won't matter.
