This whole new "Post whatever you want" is getting pretty annoying. On the main page, there are like 10 threads about religion, atheism or other - used to be forbidden - stuff.
Sure, I can hide all these posts, but the real problem is that these posts are pushing the better ones down. I'm sure there can be a mid-way, by sharpening the current "rules" and putting the old ones back in with some changes.
With the Ninjas back in charge and the ressurrection of "Disembodied Soul" this place might become more friendly, and some users that left because of the poor rules might come back.
Having said, I DO like the friendlier attitude of the ninjas right now, they are more part of the community..

I can talk about atheism now? YAY!
-
I still miss the rules from '09. It'll probably work itself out, and if it doesn't then the admins and mods can just step back in and it'll be fun times all over again.
-
Booooo mods. Yay Beer!
-
Too late to turn back now...

Here's a better idea, put ME in charge!
-
We are still in beta mode things will gey better as the site finishes the process.
-
Haha...Bungie doesn't give a -blam!- about this site anymore.
-
Moderate your own damn site!
-
The change in moderation and addition of mute and hide are the best thing about the update imo. vov

I find that none of my threads have been pushed down by the amount of other ones that are in the forums. Therefore, I disagree. My theads usually have discussion value even after days or weeks since their creation; something that wasn't possible with the old forums.

Try filtering your view using followed tags, if one simply views All Topics that is exactly what they will see.

Edited by GHOST270: 2/6/2013 6:56:28 AMYou can now control what you see and self moderate to a degree. Why complain with such power at your fingertips?
-
Oh grow up. You want one thing gone, and the second it is you desperately want it back. Make up your mind.
-
How about we just make religious and political bullshit against the rules again? I never really understood why those were against the rules on Bungie.old but now seeing this forum cluttered with those topics, I understand why those would always get locked now.
-
Make the religious and political threads go away... We definitely need some ground rules around here
-
Just keep in mind the endless number of complaints about the forums being too strict before .next as well as the complaints about the amount of "rubbish" (that you also couldn't get rid of) that pushed the interesting topics down.
-
Personally I prefer the relaxed rules. If I see a thread title I'm not interested in, I look at the one bellow it and repeat the process until I find one I do like. Its a complicated system but it seems to work.
-
Feel free to disagree, but don't discourage complaints and criticism, guys. This is a beta after all, and Bungie is definitely listening to people's feedback and making changes.

Edited by Big Black Bear: 2/5/2013 2:22:59 PMWith the variety of options to find content you want and avoid content you don't want, how is this still a problem? Until we have the ability to mute specific tags, why not simply search and follow the tags that are of interest to you? I doubt there is very much religion being discussed in topics tagged as #funny, for example.

YOU are the moderator and YOU are in charge. USE YOUR POWER, PEOPLE!
-
You can moderate it yourself, you can mute them and hide their threads.

Disliked.
