Post which one you think is better and why. Awakening DLC is included with DA:O.
Please post which one you played first.
Ex: Hawke:
DA:O was better because of its superior story, better gameplay, more environments, etc.
I played Dragon Age: Origins first.
-
I liked DA:O more as a whole but I liked DA:2's combat more
-
Why is this even up for discussion? DA:O is so much better it's not even funny.
-
Dragon Age Origins, no question.
-
DA 2 was better although I didn't finish DAO ( I played 10 hours) The combat was better I liked the relationship system more in 2. And the political stuff with the mages and elves and stuff was more emotional in 2. I also thought that the events in 2 impacted the world of the dragon age franchise more.

Edited by Decaying Forger: 3/30/2014 3:01:53 AMDA2 has better combat, but DA:O is overall the better game. I didn't think DA2 was a bad game though. Enjoyed it a lot more than Skyrim.
-
I've only played DA2, unfortunately. It's a very mediocre game. It's got terrible combat, a fairly short story, and extremely generic graphics. I have no idea what the -blam!- BioWare was doing.
-
Well Origin had a character that the player can extensively customize rather than a human who was thrown in. Combat was made "better" in 2. "Better" as in you "felt" the hits you gave. But I can see why it wasn't liked as much. Not enough time to do strategic plans.

-
This shouldn't even be a question. DA:O is objectively better.
-
Edited by HurtfulTurkey: 3/30/2014 3:38:28 AMI started with DA2 first, so I'm biased towards it. I thought it was really fun. I couldn't stand DA:O when I tried to play it, because I'm a terrible human being. I thought it was kinda weird how everyone's voice echoed in DA2 no matter where you were.
-
DA:2 is an abomination of a game.
-
Uuuuuuummmmm DA2 does not exist. It is such a abomination I took my Tardis and prevented it from ever being completed...wishes
-
DA2 was good but no where near as good as origins.
-
I played DA:O 5 times. Out of those 5, I finished it once. It didn't hold interest for me and the characters were bland. DA 2 I played twice when I got it, one playthrough straight after the other and I loved the setting and characters.

Does this question even need to be asked? I think the answer is obvious.
