Heres to bumping up this game, not to take away from Halo, but the map editor is massively better than Halo's. I think that anyone who likes FORGE and hasnt tried this game ABSOLUTELY SHOULD just try it Lemme break it down for you with what each one has over the other: [b] Far Cry Instincts Predator [/b] +Massively bigger than Halo's in scale (maps are made from scratch, not using existing terrain and buildings and adding objects) Think Foundry, but 20x bigger with creatable buildings, raisable and lowerable terrain, and much more detail and possibilities +The editable terrain allows for endless possibilities, such as beaches, oceans, mountains,etc. +Some examples of some maps made are: Giant Ships, Jungle or Mountain castles, RPG Cities and Towns (Totally new way of playing), Halo Remakes, Airplanes, D-Day scenarios (5x better than Last Resort's map and gametype), Race tracks, Obstacle Courses, Mazes +Jump in the map and instantly test what you just created +Great vehicles: hang gliders, humvees, ATVs, Transport trucks, Fishing Boats, Motor Rafts, Wave Bikes +An excellent game mode called Predator (think Juggernaut + Infection + real objectives for the human) It involves one or maybe 2 or 3 Predators (than can jump high, have generally more health, can run fast, track others' scent, and can use a (swordish) lock-on melee slash attack). They try to kill all of the mercs (humans). The humans have to last the time limit (or most of the time, reach a generator where they have to say until the timer runs out, causing the predators to die). There is also usually a radio where the humans stay to bring back killed teammates, prelonging the game. If a merc/human dies, he DOES NOT turn into a predator UNLIKE HALO's infection. However, this gametype has a real survival objective unlike Halo's Infection [b] Halo 3 [/b] +You can edit with up to 8 people at once (Far Cry allows only for single player editing) +Infection mode has dead humans play as the infected after death (unlike Far Cry's one life approach in Predator mode) +Objects placed in Halo are mostly movable in the game, unlike Far Cry's stupidly unmovable Boxes and Crates +SInce you can edit with more than one person, it could play as a game itself, with throwing objects at other players So please, i really wish that more people at least tried out Far Cry as its editor is IMO hands down 50x better than Forge is and ever can be. Effort does not change anything when talking about something, other than being able to say "Well, at least they [i]tried[/i]", which is a poor consolation at best. Also, Forge is [b]extremely[/b] limited compared to [i]any[/i] PC mapmaker, and that is a [u]fact[/u].

Farcry was a great game, I loved it and the map maker owned. You could terraform and set up hangliders...

Try Starcraft map editor. Its has alot more freedom then any console editor.

I made a sick map. But since no one plays the game, I couldn't share it.

The map editor is great and the gameplay and story is great too.
